The hotel is outside of the city center but close to museums. perfect for first timers to explore the Amsterdam museum scene without being in the noisy city center with all tourists. there's a whole street 5mins walk away full of local restaurants and bars. The hotel has rooms facing the quiet canal. the street is very quiet during the night. the room is spacious. No amenities in the fridge but the coffee and tea. if you dont need to clean the room. you get a voucher for a free beer/wine/soda from the front desk. hotel staffs are super friendly , housekeepings and front desk are all very welcoming.

Nice quiet location on canal, a bit outside city centre but only sorry walk to get there. Largely residential neighborhood (appartments) but very close to museums and commercial streets with restaurants and groceries. Convenience store nearby. Large street food market on Friday (Albert Cuypstraat) just across the canal on Friday. Staff very friendly and helpful. View from canal view room very nice from two small enclosed balconies. Room was clean and quiet. Furniture in room is limited to uncomfortable small sofa and upholstered stool. Bed very comfortable with quality sheets and pillows. Good quality shampoos etc and large bathroom. Large room by European standards. Photos on hotels.com very accurate. Did not use restaurant.

Fantastic
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Avani, all the staff we encountered were super helpful and friendly. Rooms comfy, quiet and had excellent selection of amenities. Great location, close to the museums and within easy walking distance of the rest of Amsterdam. Buffet breakfast had a good selection with some cooked to order options and a relaxed vibe. We didn’t use the food/drinks bar but there seemed to be a good variety of things available plus there’s a filter water tap to refill your own bottles. Would definitely recommend
