This is my third time staying at Grand Mercure Hotel Batam. The hotel was good, the room was big. The staff was very friendly and kind. We love this hotel and will be back again soon.

My stay at Grand Mercure Batam was overall a pleasant and nice experience. The hotel itself is well-maintained, and the service standards reflect a team that is clearly putting in consistent effort to deliver a comfortable stay. That said, there were a couple of areas that could be improved. My room faced the city, and while the view was decent, the noise from motorbike exhausts late at night was quite disruptive and affected my sleep quality. Soundproofing could definitely be enhanced for rooms facing the main roads. The buffet spread was another aspect that fell short of expectations. While there was a reasonable variety, it could have been better in terms of both selection and quality. Additionally, the live station was consistently congested, which made the dining experience feel cramped and somewhat unpleasant. Despite these drawbacks, the hotel is still doing a great job overall. With some improvements to the issues mentioned, it could easily elevate the guest experience further.

The hotel is a brand new hotel and has a free shuttle car from/to hotel to/from Mega Mall Batam Centre (the shopping mall near with Batam Centre harbour). The room was good and clean but I saw 2 mosquitos inside the room (attached). The hotel also has gym, kids playground and swimming pool. The hotel didn't provide the requests that I wrote on Klook apps.

Great stay with lovely birthday decorations, tasty breakfast, a fun kids’ room, and exceptionally friendly staff. The front office manager was especially helpful, even contacting Grab for us when our stroller was left behind. Highly recommended!
