The hotel reeks of cigarette smoke and rooms are outdated and dirty with grime in the grout, decades old carpet and wall paper, and horribly uncomfortable beds.

The massage chair was nice in the room.

Rooms were small. Staff was friendly. Enjoyed the evening piano music. breakfast if not included was relatively expensive.

Friendly staff, good amenities with a large lobby and fantastic onsen. A little dated but spacious clean rooms.

They did not inform us upon check-in that a shuttle to Otaru-Chikko train station was available to reserve beforehand.

Large hotel. Easy parking. Great location close to ski field. Nice Onsen. Room quite spacious for Japan.

Everything related to the hotel was ok, but the problem came when I did the check in, it looks like on the web site when I choose my kids age they were considered as kids since they have 15, 13 and 6 but when I did the check in at the hotel they disagree on this and they asked me to pay more money even when my reservation was full paid. The wors was when I contacted Expedia they told me that there's nothing they can do so I have to pay, so be careful when you select how many adults are going with you because kids between 12 to 17 years old are considered adults and the app is not doing it. So again the hotel was great but the service from Expedia on this situation was horrible.

We stayed here for the hot spring and skiing. The sauna and outdoor bath were awesome – we loved them! The hotel itself is a bit old-fashioned and has a 90s atmosphere, but there’s nothing wrong with that. In fact, it felt like a nice cultural experience, a bit different from the usual modern hotels in Japan. The only downside for me was the dinner option. There was only a set course menu, which didn’t work well for me because I was very hungry after snowboarding all day. The food was beautiful and delicate, but the portions were quite small – I could finish each dish in one or two bites, and then had to wait a while for the next course. That was a bit challenging when you’re really hungry.
