War Remnants Museum -kierrokset

We visited the Independence Palace and War Remnants Museum with our guide Kevin. Both are fascinating and, in our view, must-sees in Ho Chi Minh City. The Independence Palace offers a fascinating insight into the Vietnam War, with its historic meeting and banquet rooms, communications rooms and underground bunker, as well as great views over the city. The War Remnants Museum, just a short walk away, is extremely powerful and visual, showing the devastating effects of war and the suffering and resistance of the Vietnamese people. Kevin was knowledgeable and flexible, allowing us time for drinks and snacks, which made the tour work very well even with a young child. Highly recommended.

Yksi parhaista retkistä todella ymmärtämään ja arvostamaan Vietnamia ja sitä, miten siitä on tullut se, mikä se on tänään. Vietnamilla kesti kauan päästä nykyiseen tilaansa, ja tämä retki tarjoaa arvokasta tietoa tuosta matkasta. Hän oli ystävällinen, asiantunteva ja jakoi niin monia tarinoita Vietnamin menneisyydestä, mikä teki kokemuksesta paljon merkityksellisemmän. Arvostamme todella tällaista retkijärjestelyä verrattuna perinteisiin matkatoimistojen retkiin. Se antoi meille mahdollisuuden tutustua omaan tahtiimme samalla kun uppouduimme paikalliseen kulttuuriin ja jokapäiväiseen elämään. Se tuntui kaiken kaikkiaan henkilökohtaisemmalta, aidommalta ja nautinnollisemmalta.

He gave us great insights about all the places — the Opera House, Post Office, Independence Palace, War Museum, and Ben Thanh Market 🏛️✨. He shared detailed history, even things that wasn’t mentioned at the Independence Palace. Although guides are not allowed inside the War Museum, I’m sure Jack would have shared even more valuable information there too. He also guided us on where to shop and explained the history of Ben Thanh Market 🛍️📖. If we had gone on our own, we wouldn’t have known so much about these places — so thanks to him for making it so informative and interesting 😊. We were actually his first customers, so it felt like a private tour for us 😁✨. It was amazing to have such a personal guide. I would definitely recommend booking this tour, and I hope you get Jack as your guide too 😊. Overall, it was a wonderful journey and a truly memorable experience 💖✨.

Winderful experience . Great planning, knowledgeable guide and transfer quality quite good. only the itinerary could have been better planned since the Notre Dame place was closed for maintenance and we missed out seeing one location

We had a thoroughly enjoyable day with Daisy and her driver yesterday. We went to a lacquered art workshop, Cu Chi Tunnels, lunch at a beautiful restaurant, War Remnant Museum, and Independence Palace. Daisy was the perfect balance of knowledgeable while also allowing us to explore on our own. When we went to the tunnels and my youngest was too frightened to go crawl through them, Daisy kept her entertained while the rest of our family went through the 20m tunnels - HIGHLY recommend by the way! The SUV was extremely comfortable, with head rests, cup holders, chargers, snacks and candy. The driver even added fresh pandan leaves so the car smelled amazing. It was a blistering hot day and being able to return to this car was heavenly. We felt very well taken care of and had the best day. Highly recommend Daisy and this custom tour for a fun and educational day.

We had a great time on a tour with Annie and Vy! The bike ride was exciting and enjoyed the entire trip throughout the city and the history of Saigon. Thank you both for being the excellent guides. Dan was the best! I don’t usually enjoy history tours because they can be boring, but Dan was so informative and entertaining. I felt like it wasn’t just a history lesson, but also a personal retelling of the impact of time and how everything still affects the current state. Absolute best tour guide around!
