Angkaew Reservoir -kierrokset

Kuljettaja oli erittäin mukava, ja koko matka oli luotettava. Sticky Falls sijaitsee Pohjois-Thaimaan metsäpuistossa, ja vesiputouksen kivet ovat harmaanvalkoisia ja sinertäviä – aivan uskomatonta! Vesi on viileää, ja ylös kiivetessä pääsee vuorovaikutukseen luonnon kanssa!

Ryhmämme koostui kahdeksasta henkilöstä kolmesta eri maasta! Oppaamme jakoi tietoa Chiang Main historiasta ja kahdesta temppelistä, joissa vierailimme. Kesto oli juuri sopiva ja olimme kiitollisia kuljetuksesta hotellille ja takaisin!

I really enjoyed my tour visiting the Long Neck Tribe and the temples. Our tour guide, Saman, was excellent. He was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging throughout the tour. It was clear how passionate he was about sharing his knowledge of the local religion, culture, and traditions, as well as providing us with insight into the culture and history of the Long Neck Tribe. His enthusiasm and knowledge made the experience particularly enjoyable and memorable. I would definitely recommend this tour if you’re in Chiang Mai!!

great morning out at the sticky waterfalls. it’s a fun drive in the tuk tuk for just over 1 hour and we spent about an hour and 15mins at the falls. you do need an adventurous spirit and an average level of fitness to clamour up the falls. plan to get a little wet and don’t wear shoes!

More than a sunrise tour, this half day was truly meaningful, and our guide James was the highlight! We started by buying food to give dana (alms) at Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, passing the statue of the monk who raised funds to build the mountain road. James used to be a monk, so he explained the Buddha's story, the temple murals and the meaning of the pillar decorations. The sunrise was stunning, with the whole city below as James shared each temple's story. Wat Pha Lat is a peaceful hidden gem. Through his connections with the monks, James gave us real insight into monastic life and the meaning behind the nagas, tigers and deities. Our favourite was Wat Umong. We tried local instruments and drinks at a small event and explored the meditation tunnels a king built for a revered monk (with cute bats inside!). It felt like visiting historic Lanna temples with an actual monk by your side. Highly recommended, and James is the best guide!

Valitsin tämän retken, koska se oli ainoa, jonka sain varattua edellisenä päivänä. Se oli kuitenkin odotuksiani parempi, ja olen iloinen, että pääsin tälle retkelle enkä jollekin toiselle. Tapaamisaika on hyvin aikainen, joten aamu on haastava, mutta vastineeksi temppelissä ja vaelluksella oli vähän ihmisiä, joten kokemus oli stressitön. Tällä kertaa valitettavasti oli pilvistä, emmekä nähneet auringonnousua. Opas antoi erittäin yksityiskohtaisia selityksiä, ja meillä oli hauskaa. Olen erittäin kiitollinen. Thanks for our tour guide, Immy. She is full of the knowledge of the history and temple related. And she is also patient to any of my questions. The temples are very beautiful and walking in this area is let me feel peace. Above all, this is a excellent tour for who wants to know more about history of Chiangmai.

This experience was somehow exactly as described yet better than expected. An unforgettable experience made so special by the hospitable staff. Visiting Casa De Mango with Sonya and her team was such a delight! From the hotel pick up, she walked me through what dishes were available to make and had me select my choices. Once we got to the market, she picked up ingredients we would need for the day. Upon arriving at the farm, we were welcomed with tea and fruit. We then took a tour of the grounds and picked up the different herbs we would need for the day. After our tour, instruction started! This was very hands on between all members of the group, but approachable for all experience levels. We made so many amazing dishes and even had time to nap in the hammocks after lunch. We then transferred to the elephant sanctuary where we were guided through the most magical experience, meeting, feeding, and bathing the animals. The teams at both location too plenty of pictures for us. 1000/10!!
