Lippujen varaaminen verkosta juuri ennen Taipein eläintarhaan saapumista osoittautui erinomaiseksi ratkaisuksi, sillä PHP-valuutalla maksaminen oli huomattavasti edullisempaa kuin suoraan NTD-valuutalla portilta ostaminen. Eläintarhan alue on valtava, kauniisti hoidettu ja tarjoaa uskomatonta vastinetta rahalle, mutta ajoitus on kaikki kaikessa vierailun aikana. Saapuminen kello 13.00 asetti meidät jo tiukkaan aikatauluun, ja odottamaton kahden tunnin sadekuuro pysäytti suunnitelmamme täysin. Sääviivästyksen ja puiston valtavan koon vuoksi emme päässeet tutustumaan koko eläintarhaan, mutta aiomme ehdottomasti vierailla siellä uudelleen seuraavalla Taipein-matkallamme. Kaikille vierailua suunnitteleville suosittelen lämpimästi ostamaan liput verkosta etukäteen parhaan hinnan saamiseksi, saapumaan heti puiston avautuessa ja pakkaamaan sateenvarjot mukaan, jotta äkillinen sadekuuro ei lyhennä päivääsi.

Taipei Zoo & Maokong Gondola Combo Review Combining the Taipei Zoo with the Maokong Gondola was easily one of the highlights of our trip to Taipei, offering incredible value and seamless booking. We started our morning exploring the zoo’s massive, lush grounds—getting up close with the giant pandas and walking through the impressive Pangolin Dome rainforest. Booking through Klook made entry effortless, letting us skip the main ticket lines using a quick QR code scan, which saved us so much time on a busy day. Right from inside the zoo, we boarded the Maokong Gondola. The 30-minute ride provided breathtaking, panoramic views over the lush mountain canopy and the distant Taipei 101 skyline. Ending the trip with a relaxed pot of local Tieguanyin oolong tea and tea-flavored ice cream at a hillside teahouse made for the perfect afternoon escape from the bustling city center. A must-do experience for families, couples, and solo travelers alike!

The Fun Pass is really useful and great. However, if you try to enjoy all these benefits within a short schedule, your trip might become too exhausting. So, I recommend comparing the monetary value of the benefits you'd get and then making your purchase. For attractions like Yehliu Geopark, Jinguashi, and the Shifen Sky Lantern experience, you might find it more effective to purchase a separate Fun Trip Yehliu-Shifen-Jiufen-Jinguashi (YES FOG JING) bus tour and use them together. Also, as a side note, I recommend adding the Funlab bag-making experience to your itinerary. It's surprisingly fun and provides a cool space for a short break. The wood glue they provide takes a long time to dry after attaching materials, so rather than rushing to sew, it's better to glue the pieces, put them in a plastic bag, carry them carefully, and by the next day, they should be completely dry. Using glue will save you a lot of time.

I have to give it 5-stars based on value for your money. Seniors (65+) and primary school kids are free, and adults are less than $2! I paid extra for the little zoo tram as it was crazy hot, hundreds of school kids, and the monkeys are no joke! stole a water bottle right out of a boy’s hand in a big school group (ran off with it)! The best part was the water area, like a splash pad. Although older and rundown, it did the job of cooling us off. There’s 3 areas, with rain water coming from above, and two shallow areas maybe 1-4 inches of water. Animals weren’t too active due to heat/sun. Don’t recommend eating here as not many options, nor good quality.

You can just buy tickets on-site; there's no need to wait in line. There's a dedicated e-ticket exchange counter, which felt like a fast pass when taking the kids to the Water Garden. It was great! During the summer, there was also a limited-time inflatable waterslide, about two stories high. My kids were too young to try it, but watching other children slide down and bounce off the inflatable mat before splashing into the water looked very exciting! The waterslides at the Water Garden are all for children, so adults should definitely not slide down with them; the lifeguards will blow their whistles at you. Also, many adults were entering the water in clothes that weren't swimwear, which was quite confusing. It got more crowded as the evening went on, so if you want to enjoy cleaner water, it's best to go early.

One of our group day-tours got cancelled, but we were still able to go to Taipei 101 since we reserved tickets. This was one the highlights of our trip to Taiwan. The tower itself is more beautiful and magnificent in person. Even looking up at it from the street was such a sight to see. YouTube videos and postcards do not do it justice. We had access to the 89th Obseravatory Floor and it was worth it. We were able to get pictures prior to getting on the elevator. The 89th floor offered 360 degree views of Taipei and it was glorious. We were there around 5:45 to 6:45 pm and that was perfect for a golden sunset. The floor had a flux of photogenic backgrounds and props, some adorable cafes and treats, a souvenir shop, the Tuned Mass Dumper section, and the elevators to go up and down the tower. This was an unforgettable experience and easily topped some of my prior tower visits in the USA.

Suositukseni: varaa vierailuun vähintään 1–2 tuntia. Ota aikaa, kävele jokaisen näyttelyn läpi huolellisesti ja arvosta pienoismaailmojen takana olevaa taiteellisuutta. Jos sinulla on kiire, menetät todennäköisesti suuren osan siitä hauskuudesta ja taikuudesta, jotka tekevät tästä museosta erityisen. Ainutlaatuinen ja nautinnollinen kokemus kaikenikäisille vierailijoille. Ehdottomasti kannattaa lisätä Taipein matkasuunnitelmaasi!

We experienced the 60-minute acupressure massage this time. Both therapists, 31 and 68, had excellent techniques and pressure, and we enjoyed a very relaxing massage. The massage room is shared with other guests, so if you encounter someone who likes to chat or speaks loudly, it might slightly affect the quality of your rest during the massage. Everything else was outstanding, highly recommended!

Fun experience! We had the kids do DIY and this was just the admission fee to enter and watch. They explained how traditional paper was made in the past with different materials and show you the step to step process in how to make it.
