Tekemistä paikassa Waitomo Glowworm Caves

First, we walked through the cave, admiring the beautiful natural art created by the stalactites. Then, we boarded a boat and continued deeper into the cave. In the silent cave, the occasional sound of dripping water echoed, and looking up at the ceiling where the glowworms' lights flickered, I was enveloped in a strange sensation, as if I were in another world. The cave tour itself lasted just under an hour. Although it was a long 5-hour round trip from Auckland, I'm glad I went. On the way there, we stopped at a coffee shop for a light meal. Photography is prohibited inside the cave, so at the entrance, they took a blue-screen photo of us, and after the tour, we could purchase data or prints that combined our photo with images from inside the cave.

The guide was very humorous and witty, and their photography skills were also quite good. I initially thought it would be tiring, but it wasn't at all. Inside, you can see not only fireflies but also many stalactites. I highly recommend checking it out. We drove ourselves there, and the location wasn't hard to find.

Kiertue oli hyvin järjestetty, informatiivinen ja nautinnollinen alusta loppuun. Oli kiehtovaa oppia lavasteiden historiasta ja kulissien takaisista yksityiskohdista. Maisemat olivat upeat, ja tarjolla oli runsaasti tilaisuuksia ottaa ikimuistoisia valokuvia. Mukava luksuspakettiauto teki matkasta rentouttavan ja miellyttävän, antaen meille mahdollisuuden istua alas ja nauttia kauniista maisemista matkan varrella.

Erittäin ihana retki, joka antoi meille tarpeeksi aikaa tutkia, ja saavuimme jopa aikaisin takaisin Aucklandiin. Kuljettajamme ja oppaamme tekivät matkasta paljon nautinnollisemman ja kertoivat meille mielenkiintoisia tietoja matkan varrella. Tulemme takaisin perheen kanssa!

I really enjoyed the trip. I saw the kiwi birds, and they were very cute. Unfortunately, you can’t take photos of them because camera flashes and bright lights can damage their sensitive eyes. But the kiwi birds were very cute! Besides that, my favourite part of the trip was going to Blue Spring. It was so beautiful and looked unreal. In addition, our tour guide was very friendly and told us a lot of interesting things about New Zealand and Auckland.

Our Hobbiton, Waitomo Caves, and Flexi Tours experience was absolutely amazing! Hobbiton truly felt like stepping into Middle-earth, with stunning scenery and incredible attention to detail. The glowworms in the Waitomo Caves were breathtaking, and our guide, Cuppa Tea, was informative, entertaining, and even treated us to a beautiful song. Bunty from Flexi Tours made our journey even more enjoyable with his friendly personality, fascinating insights about New Zealand, and a bonus stop at a beautiful hanging bridge. Our group of four felt safe, well looked after, and had an unforgettable trip. Highly recommend these experiences to anyone visiting New Zealand! 🇦🇺

Nautin vierailustani todella paljon, erityisesti matkaoppaastamme, Dave Cheeky Travelista. Hän teki kierroksesta niin hauskan ja varmisti, että selitti kaiken, mitä näimme matkan varrella. Hänen tietonsa ja innostuksensa tekivät kokemuksesta entistäkin nautinnollisemman. Rotorua on todella pakollinen vierailukohde – rakastin aikaani täällä enkä malta odottaa pääseväni takaisin!

Brad oli loistava opas. Minulla tulee helposti vatsakipuja ja autossa matkapahoinvointia, mutta säännöllisten vessataukojen ja tasaisen ajon ansiosta, jossa ei ollut äkkijarrutuksia, tunsin oloni turvalliseksi. Maisemat, Hobbiton-kyläkierros ja kiiltomatojen luolakierros olivat tietysti kaikki upeita. Vaikka englannin taitoni eivät ole parhaat mahdolliset, pieni ryhmäkoko teki kaikista ystävällisiä ja minulla oli todella hauskaa.
