Cosas que hacer en Taitung Forest Park

The instructor is very professional and highly skilled! Although it's an outdoor class, there is shade and large trees. We took the 11:00 AM class in October, and it wasn't actually hot at all on-site. The workshop uses deep vats, so the actual indigo dyeing time doesn't need to be very long, but the DIY products turn out to be extremely unique. After the whole indigo dyeing process is finished, the instructor also shares some simple educational knowledge, taking us to see the Chinese fringe tree used for the dye (the indigo used is also grown in their own fields). The instructor even helps take before and after photos! 😂 The overall experience is completed within 45 minutes, and it was a fantastic experience! Klook offers only a few items, but there are more special designs available on-site to choose from. You can also bring your own old clothes and fabrics for indigo dyeing, which are priced by weight.

I had a lovely time at the workshop making my own unqiue braclet. Although my mandarin isn't very good, I managed to understand the process with the instructor's great demonstration and basic english. She helped guide me through the different stages of melting the glass, combining colours and creating cool patterns on the bead. The workshop itself is in an old sugar factory, which has been converted into art and craft studios and eating establishments, so definitely have a look around!
