The room was fine. It was decorated nicely, but clearly not well maintained. There were stains on the fabric headboard and couch, toothpaste on the top of the sink, scum on the taps and in the shower, crumbs between the chair cushions, and hairs on the bed sheets. The hallways smelled musty and the housekeeping cart that we saw in the hall was just a repurposed suitcase with a ratty old mop and refilled water bottles of old mystery detergent. If that's what they're cleaning the rooms with, it's a bit concerning.
The staff were not super friendly, but the hotel is in a convenient area, and it was nice having a small kitchenette for food.
Considering the cleanliness and run-down state, the price did not feel worth it, but there were no bigger issues.

Patricia was fab when checking us in and keep in us updated on when our room was ready.
Hotel is lovely but it is a wee bit out of the way and please have water in the room or at least for sale in the late evening

This is great location of you don't want to be in the centre of London. Close to South Kensington and Knightsbridge, Picadilly line into the city and to Heathrow. Parking available too. The hotel decor is very quaint. Maintenance seems to be a bit of an issue though, but the staff were quite attentive in resolving issues. You will only have your room cleaned once during your stay, extra cleaning is pricey. They will provide fresh towels on request. We would stay there again, mainly because the location worked for us and we had a hire car.

Nice central location, great rooms, clean. Only issue was I completed a request (on the back of a mail from them) to book a parking spot -heard nothing, could not get through on any number to the hotel, so had to park half an hour away at Westfield which wasn't ideal. Hopefully a one off - but the rest of the stay was great

We stayed in the Ember Locke Suite. The kitchen area was nice. It had a two burner induction plate. Washer/Dryer combo was a bonus for sure. Queen size bed with a decent mattress. The pillows were not good. Very flat.
A/C in the room was nice to have. We liked the curtain to separate kitchen/dining area from bed. Someone could be up early and relax in the dining area with disturbing the other while they slept.
We really liked the area. Kensington/Chelsea
Only about a 5 min walk from Earls Court tube station. Sainsbury's store within walking distance for groceries.
We would stay here again.

Great Checking in late & tired, so did not really take a lot in. I was only there for one night. The room was fairly well decorated, but reasonably basic, the bed was very comfortable. I could not find a charging point for mobile phones/devices in the room. I didn't need to use it, but if there was one, it wasn't clear where. The receptionist said something about WiFi. I didn't need this, so didn't take much notice. If there was a WiFi code somewhere, I never saw it. In fact, now I think about it, there was no written information in the room about anything. The reception said to contact them with any issues. I'm not sure how, I don't recall seeing a phone in the room! In the morning I wanted coffee. Lead for kettle did not reach from the dressing table to the nearby socket. I had to move things around in the room to plug it in. There was a coffee machine, but no pods, not a problem for me as I don't drink this sort of coffee. There were no coffee sachets either, nor decaf coffee or tea. Again, not a problem for me as I always carry my own decaf coffee sachets. Also, there was no milk or milk substitute. Again, not really a problem for me, happy to drink it black. Hotel has nice ambience, lovely garden, conservatory. We bought coffee and pastry mid-morning, but were not allowed to sit in the conservatory (which was virtually empty). We sat in the garden, which was fine as it was a hot day. Furniture in the garden is a little tired. Hotel was fine for my needs. Quiet area.

At first we were placed in a room that was cramped with a bed anchored against a wall and neither of us could sleep in this cramped space. We tried unsuccessfully to sleep for 3 nights at which point we decided we would have to go elsewhere for the remainder if our stay as the night manager indicated the hotel was full. When we notified the front desk in the morning of the 4th day that we would need to move to another accommodation as we were unable to sleep in the cramped bed. Jess and Michael were extremely helpful in finding us another larger suite in the hotel. This made a huge difference for the remaining week of our vacation and we are very thankful for their quick and immediate response. I wish we had taken this action earlier as we were truly besides ourselves with lack of sleep for three nights, taking turns to sit in the lobby in the middle of the night so the other could sleep. We appreciate both Michael and Jess so much, thank you!
