Things to do in Great Wall of China

Great tour option! This was a great value and gave plenty of time to seee the Great Wall. We loved the hotel pickup option and the communication through WhatsApp was amazing. All our questions were answered before we even knew to ask them. I would highly recommend your guide Michael and this tour if you are looking for a good one to the Great Wall. All our tickets were purchased ahead of time and handed to us which took the headache and thinking out of everything. I would definitely book this again.

First, I'll give you a quick recommendation. 1. You should know that most tour buses leave Beijing around 8 AM and arrive around 10 AM, which is when most tourists gather. 2. If I go again, I'll take the cable car up first, and then go over to the right for about 2 km while taking a light hike, and then I'll get to the point where the chair lift goes up. From there, you can take the chair lift down, or you can stand in line and take a toboggan down. 3. It's nice to enjoy the toboggan or chair lift, but you'll have to waste two precious hours waiting in line, so please keep that in mind. By the way, the moment you take the chair lift up, you'll feel so peaceful and euphoric. It really felt like life. 4. If you get off the bus and follow the people up the road, the first line you'll see is the chair lift. If you meet a line on the way up, set aside about an hour and 20-30 minutes, and if you see a full line in front of the building, set aside an hour. 5. For your information, if you leave at 1:30 PM, there will be no one in line. Since you have to catch the return bus at 3 PM, you can use the chair lift right away without waiting. Maybe everyone was already up there or they went up and waited in line to toboggan. (After waiting in line for over an hour and taking the lift down, there was another line lol. 6. If you pass this and go up a little more, the cable car appears. 7. The line for the cable car is shorter than that for the chairlift. 8. When I got down around 11:30, there was no one on the cable car either. 9. And there were two buses returning, at 3:00 and 3:30, but on Sundays, there is a lot of traffic when entering downtown Beijing. On Sundays, I took the 3:30 bus and returned to Wangfujing Street at 5:35. For those of you who have a moving schedule, please take note. I had to take the train and told the guide in advance that I was pressed for time, so the guide texted me that there were a few seats left. But I didn't know that and missed it, so I took the next bus (Thanks Michael). 10. Meals are one menu per person. I went with a British guy I met at the hotel, and we ended up eating at the same table, so we got two menus. ㅠㅠ

The tour guide is very professional, patient and responsible. The explanation is very detailed. He will also help buy tickets on the bus and keep you informed. It's great.
