It’s a must if you are visiting Sydney! Go down to the Welcome Center to get your ticket and the meet up and bag drop is also there. our tour guide, Martin, if very accommodating and passionate about explaining the design and history of the Opera House. The concert hall is overwhelmingly beautiful. During the tour there was piano tuning for a performance at night so we also get to experience the acoustics of the concert hall. Lovely experience!

Thanks to our guide, today was such an enjoyable day! On our way to Featherdale Wildlife Park, we received great tips and information about Australia's history, caught a glimpse of the Three Sisters, hurried over to the sunset point to see the Belt of Venus and the Blue Mountains, and finally, dodging the rolling clouds, we even got to see the Milky Way and shooting stars✨️ Featherdale Wildlife Park was as perfect as expected. I visited Taronga Zoo a few days ago, but didn't get that feeling of being right among the animals. Interacting with the cute wallabies and quokkas, and hanging out with kangaroos roaming freely outside their fences, truly made me feel like I was in Australia. Arriving at the Three Sisters and the sunset point, I could feel the vastness of nature while recalling the explanations we heard in the car. Lastly, our starry night excursion, which we drove a long way to reach while avoiding the clouds, was better than expected. Our guide was the real MVP, explaining right from departure that our chances of seeing stars were about fifty-fifty, yet doing everything possible to show us the sky by outrunning the approaching clouds. Thanks to the clouds lagging behind just enough, we were able to fully enjoy the Milky Way and the beautiful Scorpius constellation. It was also a day where we could watch falling shooting stars for a long time. Having traveled with telescopes and even visited the Gobi Desert in Mongolia, this was the first time I had ever seen so many twinkling shooting stars. The guide took so many great photos for us, making it a day where we created countless beautiful moments to cherish! Up to here was my girlfriend's review. Now, for my review: While a repetitive work life and a monotonous routine are fine, I believe one of the most important things that keeps that routine going and helps us overcome monotony is the fond memories of travel. In particular, the memory of getting close to nature and the pieces of scenery captured in my eyes will likely become the driving force that helps me live my daily life with more energy. I did a homestay in Australia for about a month when I was young, and adding this trip to that will make it an unforgettable memory and a part of my driving force in life. And thanks to our guide (Guide Calvin Sung), it will remain in my memory even more deeply.

Highly recommended for a Sydney tour! I chose this Southern Tour instead of the Blue Mountains and I am extremely satisfied. Guides Max and Stephen were truly kind, offered to take photos for us first, and interpreted in three languages: English, Korean, and Chinese. They even provided a Polaroid service... the best! The minibus had great air conditioning and was very comfortable. Highly, highly recommended for solo travelers as well. Every single beach was beautiful. You can buy Symbio Wildlife Park feed with a card at the counter~~ I wish I could have stayed much longer. It was a day with wonderfully perfect weather 😇

Super lucky to get the brightest and welcoming guide Ric, and Nish for bringing us on this wholesome day out. Sydney zoo has the cutest koala for u to take a snap with, and a huge range of animals (mostly out of Lion King haha). Scenic world was fun as well, not to mention the various viewpoints along blue mountain.

It is definitely a great experience that we had during our trip in Sydney. Although we aren’t able to see a whale jump, we were able to spot couple whales on surface and couple tails flopping from distance. Thr day we went had bumpy rides in and out the way and the staff did warned us if you would like to reschedule, we are more than welcome. They also briefed us on shore regarding all safety precautions and provided us bags in case needed due to sea sickness which i saw couple of passengers had experienced. Overall, everything is fantastic and in terms of worth it or not, really depends on what you would like to experience. For us, we definitely did.

we took the 9.15am ferry, it's not too crowded and the safety briefing was precise. the crew helped to spot the whales and we had 20 mins of whale viewing time before we said farewell to the the giant sea mammals. The boat was quite distanced from the whales, without a powerful camera it's looks pretty tiny. see the tiny fish using handphone vs the bigger ones using a camera. Overall, we thank God for the nice weather and good show-off by the whales. experience:great safety:good location: satisfactory, Abit far instructor: knowledgeable, whales do not eat during migration.

Through Klook it was a very easy, reliable, and convenient way to purchase entry tickets to this beautiful Wildlife sanctuary in Sydney, Australia. It was my first time using the Klook website, it was fabulous and easy to navigate, pay via PayPal and acquire tickets. Our group was thoroughly impressed with the experience and highly recommend Featherdale as a must-see attraction when in Sydney. One gets up, close and personal with a range of native fauna like kangaroos, quokkas, koalas and farm animals. Great for young and old, a hands-on interactive adventure, perfect day out! ❤️

Real value for money! Saw a lot of animals I’ve never seen before. But some of them you’ll only see at certain times because the zoo respects wildlife and doesn’t parade the animals. It can be a bit of workout for children and the elderly as the zoo is located on a hill. It was also quite unfortunate that the food halls close early.

Buying online tickets through Klook is incredibly convenient and fast, allowing for immediate use. This is perfect for itineraries with flexible scheduling. The aquarium and wildlife park are close to each other, making it very satisfying to visit both distinct exhibition halls in the shortest amount of time.

Travellers from the United States book far more activities in January — roughly 48% above a typical month — while May is about 28% quieter than usual; expect higher demand and earlier sell-outs in January. Based on Klook historical booking data.

How much do Sydney activities cost?

Plan your budget for these activities

Typical range Typical price
Zoos & aquariums

Tours
$36 $117 $62
Cruises

The easiest way in is typically around USD 22 for Zoos & aquariums, while Tours not only have the highest typical price (around USD 62) but also the widest variation in price — roughly USD 81 between the entry-level and upper-end options. Based on Klook booking data, August 2025 – July 2026.

Travellers from the United States typically book activities about 1 day ahead, which gives plenty of flexibility but means January’s peak demand (named in the demand card) can still sell out so consider booking earlier then. Based on Klook booking data, February 2026 – July 2026.

What to know before visiting Sydney

What to expect in Sydney

This Things to Do catalogue is led by Zoos & aquariums, Tours, Cruises, Outdoor & sports activities and Attraction passes, reflecting a mix of family-friendly wildlife experiences, guided sightseeing and active outdoor options that suit different trip styles. That spread means travellers can fill short gaps with a zoo or cruise, or budget more for guided tours and outdoor activities. Demand peaks in January, so attractions are busiest in January, while May is the quietest month and generally the easiest time to find the same experience with less crowding. Expect booking patterns and price pressure to follow that yearly rhythm.

How to choose what to book

The main decision is whether you want a quick, affordable attraction or a fuller guided experience — Zoos & aquariums are the most affordable option and suit families and short visits, while Tours offer the widest range and cater to travellers looking for deeper local insight. Zoos & aquariums typically cost around USD 22 and are an easy, lower-commitment way to add wildlife to your itinerary, whereas Tours range from USD 36 at the entry level to about USD 117 at the upper end.

If you need something reliably budget-friendly to fill gaps, Zoos & aquariums are the most affordable way in; Cruises and Outdoor & sports activities sit in the mid-range and tend to vary less in price, so shopping around gains you little. Attraction passes offer a compact mid-priced option that can simplify access to multiple sites, and Tours—being the widest category—are where you'll find both inexpensive and premium experiences depending on how much you want to spend.

When travellers from the United States book

Most travellers book very close to arrival: the typical lead time is about 1 day ahead, while the earliest planners book around 9 days out. Plan on booking within a week of travel for most activities, though that extra cushion matters most in January when demand peaks.

How prices compare across categories

The table below shows how the city's top categories compare on price so you can place a budget before choosing.

Category Typical Price Usual Range
Zoos & aquariums USD 22 USD 18 – 31
Tours USD 62 USD 36 – 117
Cruises USD 22 USD 18 – 61
Outdoor & sports activities USD 47 USD 42 – 56
Attraction passes USD 38 USD 34 – 44

Typical price is the median paid on Klook; the usual range covers the middle half of bookings, so cheaper and pricier options exist outside it; prices are shown with their currency code. Based on Klook booking data, August 2025 – July 2026.
