Trat can be reached by direct flight from Bangkok to Trat Airport, followed by a transfer to Trat town or the ferry piers. Budget travelers can take buses or shared minibuses from Bangkok’s eastern bus terminals to Trat or Laem Ngop, then continue by ferry to Koh Chang or by boat connections to Koh Kood and Koh Mak.

In Trat town, songthaews, taxis, and private transfers are the easiest options for short trips and ferry connections. On Koh Chang, shared pickup trucks run along the west coast, while private cars, hotel transfers, and boat tours are better for families or travelers carrying luggage.
