Fantastic 5.0
Our tour guide was Jen and she was knowledgable and hilarious! Her storytelling is great, it was easy to follow and listen through. The overall experience took about 1.5hrs including the walk from St Giles Cathedral, entry was also simple and quick. Edinburgh is quite rainy in November so bring a small umbrella or wear a waterproof jacket. We had to walk up slopes, stairs and stand around so make sure you are able to stand and walk for about 1.5hrs. We were also free to explore the castle on our own after the tour. Would recommend if you love hearing about history and there are some things that you will not find out if you do a self guided tour, the locals know best. easy to redeem via Klook.

Easy to redeem at any station; and valid for 24 or 48 hours. the audio guide is nice to hear. it’s also relatively frequent (each 10min). Good to learn, but note Edinburgh is walk-friendly and so can also walk.

Superb. We got to see a guided animation on scotch whisky production, followed with a tasting session on selected distinct whiskeys from each unique region. We also got to keep the special tasting glass.

Fantastic 5.0
A fun experience! A guide in costume acting as Queen Mary of the Scots led us to several “spooky” underground spots in Old Edinburgh, coupled with detailed retellings of the tragedies and horrors that had happened. Evening tours certainly added the thrill to the experience.

Tips for Visiting Edinburgh

1. Book Early During Festivals

Edinburgh gets very busy in August during the Fringe Festival and Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo. Hotels and shows sell out fast, so book tickets and rooms early to save money and stress.

2. Pack for All Weather

The weather in Edinburgh can change quickly. Bring layers, a light rain jacket, and good walking shoes. Even in summer, it can be cool and windy.

3. Use Public Transport

While Edinburgh is walkable, buses and trams are great for longer trips. You can pay with contactless cards. The tram also connects the city centre to Edinburgh Airport in about 30 minutes.

4. Take Day Trips

Edinburgh is the perfect city to start exploring more of Scotland. You can take day trips to the Scottish Highlands, Loch Ness, or Stirling Castle. Closer to the city, visit the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh or Royal Yacht Britannia for easy half-day adventures.
