Great 4.0
We had a pleasant stay at Casa Andina Standard Machu Picchu. The biggest advantage of this hotel is its excellent location—it’s right next to the train station, making it extremely convenient, especially if you’re arriving or departing by train. It also provides easy access to nearby restaurants and the bus to Machu Picchu. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, it’s a great option for travelers looking for a convenient and comfortable place to stay in Aguas Calientes.

Service: Super attentive, there was always hot water, secure luggage storage, breakfast with eggs, fruit, and coffee. I always found the reception staff attentive and present.

Fantastic 5.0
The trip joined different group tours every day. Tour guides used both Spanish and English. The package is basic that covers most things you need. But you can always ask the agent for upgrade. The agent is as helpful as a babysitter. Machupichu is magnificent. We ended up went for Circuit 3 instead of Circuit 2 they promised. We also hired a private guide, which is good to know the site in depth.

Fantastic 5.0
Luckily, I got tickets to Machu Picchu from Klook, even though it was for Route 1A, the panoramic view route, which doesn't go into the main city. But the panoramic view offers beautiful photo opportunities.

trip was amazing, Juan was an amazing tour guide, had excellent knowledge of macchu Picchu and some great secret photo spots, the itinerary was also well thought out and gave us flexibility to choose which paths we hiked thanks to Jose.

What to know before visiting Machu Picchu

Quick snapshot of Machupicchu's travel rhythm

Machupicchu draws most bookings for Tours and for outdoor Parks & gardens, with activity spread across the year but clear seasonal highs. Demand builds into a busy June and also shows a smaller surge in October, while quieter months arrive towards the end of the year.

When to visit for crowds and prices

Klook booking data shows June is the peak month for demand and December is the lowest-demand month. Prices on Klook tend to be highest around August and then drop through the winter, with June appearing as the cheapest month in Klook’s historic price data. If you want lower prices and smaller crowds, consider visiting in December or the surrounding low-demand months; for peak-season atmosphere and the busiest services, aim for June or October. Note that price and demand don’t always move together here: the priciest month by price is August, while the busiest month by bookings is June.

Tips for travellers from the United States

Most travellers from the United States typically book about three to four weeks ahead, with a notable share booking earlier; last-minute bookings around a week out are also common. If you plan to travel in June or October (the busiest months), locking in Tours sooner gives you better choice and peace of mind; for quieter months you can be more flexible and still find options on Klook.
