Fantastic 5.0
We had a great time in our private tour with our driver 维钢. His van was comfy and clean. The rate we paid was higher compared to other operators but it was a last minute booking and glad there was still available van and driver to cater us. Thank you. Keep up the great service.

Fantastic 5.0
I participated in a bus tour from Amsterdam to Bruges. There were no Japanese people, and it seemed like most of the participants were from Spain. We were divided into two groups, English and Spanish, and guided to the city center with explanations. From there, we had about two hours of free time before returning to the bus. It was an even more beautiful city than I imagined, and I'm truly glad I went.

Great way to experience Amsterdam from their unique canals. Audio guides available on board, but found it more enjoyable to be at the back of the boat looking at the sights.

Giethoorn is a must in the summer. Lucas was informative yet concise. The boat ride lasts an hour and the rest of the intinerary is free time which is perfect.

Fantastic 5.0
Redemption of ticket at the tour agency was easy and hassle free. The tour bus was just one level above the ticket office. The tour departed on time and was well organised. Highly recommended to take the tour as Giethoorn is a pretty place.

Fantastic 5.0
I had to reschedule this tour a day before the tour because I sprained my ankle, and the team was incredibly accommodating and understanding. They made the process easy and hassle-free, which I really appreciated. The tour was very well organized. The meeting point was easy to find, check-in was quick, and we left right on time. Everything ran smoothly throughout the day, making the experience stress-free from start to finish.

Fantastic 5.0
I highly recommend this one-day tour. Zaanse Schans (Windmill Village) and Giethoorn are definitely worth visiting. Our tour guide, A-Du, was very professional and responsible, providing a lot of interesting information that helped me understand the Netherlands even better. He deserves high praise. The tour bus was very clean and had sufficient air conditioning. The entire itinerary was also very well-planned.

The National Museum is very thoughtful; you don't need to buy an audio guide. You can download the app for free. Remember to bring headphones to plug into your phone, and you can listen to the guide for free. It offers various languages, making it a very considerate museum. The most popular collection is likely from the 17th century, which is definitely worth stopping to see.

What to know before visiting Amsterdam

What to expect in Amsterdam

This catalogue is led by Museums, then Tours, Cruises, Historical sites and Attraction passes, giving a mix that suits museum-goers, guided-tour shoppers and people who prefer short cruises or single-site visits. That spread means you can fill a visit with cheap historical entries or step up to multi-attraction passes and guided tours for broader experiences. Demand peaks in May and is quietest in April, so expect the busiest booking traffic in May and noticeably fewer bookings in April when the same experiences are easier to find.

How to choose which activities to book

The main question is whether you want a low-cost entry or a fuller guided experience — decide if you value budget entries or guided depth. If you want the widest range of prices and options, look at Tours where typical prices run about USD 42 with options from USD 27 up to USD 72; that category suits travelers who mix budget and premium choices. For predictable, compact pricing, Historical sites stick close to USD 16, so shopping around within that category gains little, while Cruises are one of the most affordable ways in with a typical price near USD 18 for straightforward options. Attraction passes sit at the higher end as a convenient premium choice with a typical price of USD 79, and Museums offer a steady mid-range choice around USD 29 where what you get can vary by venue.

When travelers from the United States typically book

Most travelers book about 5 days ahead, while the earliest planners book around 22 days out. Plan on booking one week to less than a month ahead if you want a cushion, especially for visits in May when demand is at its peak.

How Amsterdam activities compare on price

The table below shows how the city's top categories compare on price so you can place a budget before choosing.

Category Typical Price Usual Range
Museums USD 29 USD 24 – 32
Tours USD 42 USD 27 – 72
Cruises USD 18 USD 15 – 29
Historical sites USD 16 USD 16 – 16
Attraction passes USD 79 USD 69 – 106

Typical price is the median paid on Klook; the usual range covers the middle half of bookings, so cheaper and pricier options exist outside it; prices are shown with their currency code. Based on Klook booking data, August 2025 – July 2026.
