Things to do in Aswan

The transportation pick-up was very punctual, and the driver worked hard to get us to the Abu Simbel temples before the tour groups. However, this private guided tour was already priced a bit higher than other local travel agencies. On the return trip, the driver held out an envelope asking everyone for tips, which made us feel like the price wasn't all-inclusive. Why would they ask guests for tips? Also, the itinerary didn't mention tipping or whether driver tips were included.

Captain Hamo Nemary was absolutely incredible. He made me feel right at home from the moment I stepped onboard and shared fascinating stories about Elephantine Island and Nubian culture. His warm personality and deep knowledge turned the trip into something truly special. Highly recommend him for anyone looking for an authentic and memorable experience!

Nice experience on the Nile, with a different tour guide everday. Tickets and tips are not included so make sure to take cash and have card ready. No hot air balloon flight - cancelled due to weather, trying to get money back.

I was so grateful for the guide's efforts to explain everything to me, even though I don't speak English well. I really appreciate you making me feel comfortable. I hope to have this opportunity again with my friends next time.

I applied and went through the tour alone. Despite being a solo traveler, they provided a personal guide according to the schedule, and the guide was excellent. I had a great time overall without any inconvenience. The guides were fantastic, and they consistently provided helpful feedback about the schedule via WhatsApp, which helped alleviate any concerns. I thought the plan was to take an evening cruise to Aswan after sightseeing in Luxor during the day, but the cruise actually took 3 days. The value for money was excellent considering the package included meals, but due to the nature of cruises, there was some noise and the cost of drinks and other incidentals was high. Also, be careful as the reception staff may demand an excessive amount if you lose your room key. In my personal opinion, it would be better to enjoy the cruise for only about 3 days and spend the rest of your trip at a hotel while taking local tours.
