Things to do in Aswan

The transportation pick-up was very punctual, and the driver worked hard to get us to the Abu Simbel temples before the tour groups. However, this private guided tour was already priced a bit higher than other local travel agencies. On the return trip, the driver held out an envelope asking everyone for tips, which made us feel like the price wasn't all-inclusive. Why would they ask guests for tips? Also, the itinerary didn't mention tipping or whether driver tips were included.

Mohammed was an excellent guide and explained the temples in Luxor in detail. He also helped us out with recommendations for food and stitched together the stories from Kom Ombo, Edfu and Phillae temples to the temples and tombs of Luxor incredibly well.

We had an amazing day touring Luxor with Ahmed Yossry! From start to finish, everything was smooth, well-organized, and stress-free. He showed us not just the famous sites but also the hidden gems that made the experience truly special. On top of that, he made sure we felt safe and comfortable at all times, which made a big difference in enjoying the experience fully. Is it true there aren't any reviews yet? It was a very informative time with a truly substantial and kind explanation. To be honest, I was hesitant considering the price, but it was a choice I don't regret. The English was also easy to understand and he explained things simply. I hope Ali, who was our guide, is always happy~!

Overall, I am satisfied. The guides and coordinators were mostly very kind. I was very grateful for the quick responses during our prior communications. However, I would have liked a more detailed schedule. If I had known there would be time to explore the cities in Aswan on day 1 and Luxor on day 3, I believe I could have spent my time more productively. It was unfortunate that the quality of the guides varied, and on one occasion, for transportation, we had a carriage transfer where we were asked for a higher-than-average tip.
