Reviews
The drive from Tokyo is quite long and it’s easy to encounter traffic jams on the return trip, but moving between scenic spots is much more convenient with a car. The tour guide is very interesting. In addition to sharing knowledge about scenic spots, he also shares many other interesting places in Japan. Excellent 👍 Toshogu Shrine is really big, and there are so many tourists now. If you want to take a good tour, 2 hours is not enough. There are many places where you need to climb stairs, so elderly people need to consider this. The Sleeping Palace is very cute. Even when everyone is out of breath, there is still a constant stream of people coming up. I highly recommend Chansi Lake, but unfortunately it rained that day and I couldn’t take pictures of the colors. There are not many tourists inside the temple. Walking around inside the temple is a different scene. The colors are beautiful in autumn. It is recommended to take the elevator down to Huayan Falls. The scenery is so spectacular that it is indescribable. It's a perfect match with a cold glass of hot milk sold locally.
the beautiful temple was ornately decorated and imposing. the great atmosphere as well the autumn leaves add to the color of the journey eh.....recommend !
It's quite convenient for lazy people to take a direct bus, but the time for shopping is still a bit insufficient. If you want to travel more in-depth, you can go on a self-guided tour next time.
I have participated in many activities, and this time the tour guide was the most unprofessional. I felt like a driver. He would only tell you what time to get on and off on time, but would not introduce the attractions at all. The attractions in Nikko are indeed worth visiting and getting to know.
I went to this site with my friends and we enjoyed all the vibes, activities and events there. highly recommended!!!
The ten-person tour bus set off. The driver was polite and clearly explained the gathering time for tourists at each stop. Fluent in English and Mandarin. The attractions are popular and you have to queue up to buy tickets at your own expense. On the return trip later, the driver drove carefully and professionally.
You have to watch the time yourself or there will be no maple leaves. For example, I went there at the end of November, because it got cold here very quickly and the trees were basically gone. cry
First: it's difficult to find the right van without any signs, flags or company logos at the meeting point in Shinjuku, it was a mess. Second: the van was a bit old and run-down. Third: there was no "tour guide service" as described in the tour overview, but only a Chinese-speaking driver. Fourth: the driver did not drop us directly to each viewpoint, e.g. he dropped us at the lake and asked us to walk all the way to the waterfall by ourselves. Fifth: not enough time was allowed for each viewpoint, e.g. 2 hours for Toshogu Shrine but including lunch time on our own; 1.5 hours for both the lake and waterfall. Sixth: the driver kept on changing the pickup point, that was confusing too. Seventh: I think at least a small bottle of water should be provided to each guest on the van, as a token of hospitality. The tour guide was very friendly. There were many scenic spots near Toshogu Shrine, but we didn’t have enough time to see them. We didn’t have time to have lunch, but the driver specially asked us to stay at Lake Chuzenji for a meal, so we didn’t have to go hungry. Lake Chuzenji is beautiful and difficult to get to without driving, but overall it’s worth going!
The guide was more like a driver. He dropped us at the sightseeing spot n left us to do the sightseeing by ourselves. We had no chance to take any photographs with the awesome autumn view as driver mentioned he would not stop. Tour was supposed to end 1830hrs but we were back around 1730hrs.
