Fukuoka Tourist City Pass

Very convenient to use. Go to the airport to exchange for a PASS. Scratch the card according to the date you want to use it. You can travel according to the specified details, including subways, some JR buses, ferries, and discounts at tourist attractions. Convenient and worth it.

Easy to use! You just need to show it to the station and they will just let you pass. We were able to visit different places using this. You just really need to map out your itinerary well to maximize the usage of this pass.

It is a 1-day pass that can be used to travel within Fukuoka and surrounding cities, both near and far from Fukuoka, to see the beauty of tourist attractions, important places on the northern island of Kyushu, as well as famous delicious food spots.

This pass is a great deal for visiting Itoshima because you can hop between attractions without paying extra bus fare. Note that Itoshima buses run approximately once per hour. Also, this pass cannot be used at the Hakata Bus Terminal (according to previous reviews), so take the subway to Imaduku or Kyushu University Gakken Toshi Station first and then transfer to a bus to Itoshima.

Whether it is worth it is a personal matter. I personally think that this one-day pass is over-rated and the price should be cheaper. Even if I went to four attractions in one day, took the train and then the bus, the cost for the whole day would not necessarily exceed the price of this one-day pass. This card is not very cost-effective. It is OK for convenience. If I use this card to travel in Fukuoka City for two or three consecutive days, I don’t think it is worth it or cost-effective. It is OK for convenience, but to save money? I don’t think it is feasible. It may even be more expensive!

You can take unlimited subway and bus rides, but this pass does not allow you to go from Hakata or Tenjin to Itoshima. It is said that you need to take the subway to a certain station and then change to a bus. Therefore, I used the pass to go to Nokonoshima, which includes the bus and ferry.

I took an early morning flight from Fukuoka Airport, took a bus to the city, toured the city, and visited Haraport, Fukuoka Tower, etc. until 8 PM. I really got my money's worth. I highly recommend it!
