What to expect
Explore Chiang Mai’s Old City on a relaxed guided bike ride through ancient temples, historic gates, quiet backstreets, and a lively local market. Start at the Discova Day Tour Shop before cycling toward Tha Phae Gate, the former trading entrance to the city. Continue through the historic square around the Three Kings Monument and the nearby Wat Intakhin, then ride through peaceful temple grounds to see highlights like Wat Chedi Luang’s massive chedi. Depending on the departure, you may also pass Wat Chiang Man or Wat Lok Molee. Follow the old moat, discover small neighborhoods, and learn stories of the former Lanna Kingdom. A stop at a morning or night market adds a simple local tasting before you return to the shop.

I highly recommend this authentic tour. Riding a bicycle through the ancient city of Chiang Mai is so comfortable in winter! The tour leader, Mr. Don, speaks very good English and is very friendly. He will explain the temples and markets we visited, and pays attention to safety during the entire cycling process. This itinerary is a leisurely tour.
