Zhangjiajie Tianmen Mountain is known as the "First Divine Mountain of Western Hunan" and the "Soul of Wuling." Rising over 1,500 meters, it was formerly called Yunmeng Mountain, also known as Yuping Mountain, and later named after the natural wonder, Tianmen Cave. Tianmen Mountain is divided into four scenic areas: Tianmen Dongkai (Tianmen Cave Opening), Tianjie Foguo (Heavenly Buddhist Kingdom), Biye Yaotai (Jade Terrace of Green Fields), and Mixian Qijing (Seeking Immortal Wonders). Tianmen Cave is shrouded in mist and steam year-round, with ever-changing scenes. The scenic area preserves a complete primary secondary forest with many extremely precious and unique plant species, boasting a forest coverage rate of 90%. Ancient trees reach to the sky, vines intertwine, moss covers everything, and stalagmites and stalactites are everywhere, making it seem like a natural bonsai garden, hailed by the world as the most beautiful sky garden and heavenly fairyland. The Guigu Plank Road, located in the Mixian Qijing scenic area, is an absolute must-see. The entire Guigu Plank Road is neither at the top nor on the side of the cliff, but rather built in the middle of a ten-thousand-foot cliff. Standing on the plank road and looking down at the mountains, the feeling of "all mountains are small" naturally arises.
