The Museum of Qin Shihuang's Terracotta Warriors and Horses, also known as the Terracotta Army or Qin Terracotta Warriors, is a burial pit for the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor. It is known as the eighth wonder of the world, where over a thousand unearthed terracotta warrior figures, each with a unique appearance and vivid expression, are a shining pearl in the history of ancient Chinese sculpture. Emperor Qin Shihuang Ying Zheng began constructing his mausoleum when he ascended the throne at the age of 13, employing nearly 720,000 laborers over 38 years. The mausoleum was not completed until his death. Legend has it that Qin Shihuang spent countless human, material, and financial resources to build an underground palace for himself, and the Terracotta Warriors were the guardians of this underground palace. The Qin Terracotta Warriors can be described as a typical and the pinnacle of burying effigies in place of human sacrifices. The Terracotta Warriors strictly imitate real objects, possessing the nature and characteristics of portrait sketching, and are even more impressive in scale and grandeur, which is one of the reasons why they are so astonishing. Among them, Pit 1 of the Terracotta Warriors is the earliest excavated and largest pit, where you can see a massive army of terracotta soldiers standing in the pit, each with different expressions and forms. Every soldier is lifelike, from their armor to their expressions, and from their weapons to the lines on their palms, everything is awe-inspiring.

The Terracotta Army was absolutely incredible, just as expected! Rich in history, the site tells the fascinating story of Qin Shi Huang, the First Emperor who unified China. It is truly worth visiting. I booked the entrance ticket separately and paid for taxis to and from the site, which I think worked out more expensive than a package including round-trip transportation. Tip: just after entering, there’s a shuttle on the left that takes you towards the pits for only 5 yuan, saving around 15 minutes of walking. I visited during the holiday season, so queues were long and the site was very busy. Visiting outside peak holidays would probably make the experience smoother. The exit leads through an area full of food and souvenir vendors. Overall, an amazing experience and one of the world’s greatest historical treasures!
We went solo and the experience was nice but a little crowded. We booked the admission only option amd hired a guide spontaneously. One problem was, that the ticket only worked for one of us, despite correct info. So, we had to rebook one ticket on the spot. Luckily, with some customer-support on Klook, we mamaged to get a refund for the faulty ticket. To get this, you need to take a picture of the ticket you bought on spot. Then, it takes a few days to get the momey back. Other than that, it was a very pleasant experience
What a wonderful tour. It was like stepping back in time visiting the Terracotta Warriors Museum. I learned more about the history of Emperor Qin Shi Huang, who ordered the creation of a massive tomb with thousands of warriors to protect him in the afterlife. It was impactful to see the clay sculptures up close, each with unique details and different expressions. And even more impressive to learn that the emperor was so obsessed with immortality that he even consumed mercury, believing he would live forever. A place full of history, mystery, and grandeur. I truly won't forget this day 😊
The Terracotta army did not disappoint was amazing to see in situ. once there you can pay to be taken up to the main area if dont want a long walk. well mapped out. unfortunately you have to walk back (unless we missed it) and its a long walk but through a huge food /shopping area
As a way to buy tickets, all in all very straightforward. You just need to have your passport scanned as it works as your ticket. As for the museum, just wish they put up more english signs for international travellers especially as some might prefer going without a guide - bus going back to xi'an and map guides within the museum complex in particular. Despite this, the museum was very exciting as a person interested in history

Bucketlist ticked. Make sure to apply sunscreen and bring a lot of patience. This place is very crowded-I almost missed my time waiting in line. Transpo-I ooted for public transpo;Bus 306 from Fanzhicheng Metro. Worth the visit to Xi'an!
It was a really eye opening and educational trip to the Terracotta. It was amazing to be able to view the Figurines Up close and freely at the time when it's low season in early November we went. The entrance ticket e bought thru KLOOK was very easy to use. Just scan the QR code given sent to your email at venue entrance gate, free u go swiftly without any problem. And the earlier you by online the better as sometimes they have limit on number of ppl visiting when it's peak season....!
I bought a ticket for the earliest time. I arrived at the opening and scanned my passport at the entrance, entered the territory without problems. All three pavilions of terracotta accept this grandiose spectacle. I took additional services of a guide on the spot and more than two hours passed unnoticed, it was very interesting.
Getting the ticket from Klook is so convenient. Entry to the place with passport is easy too. The place is crowded but organised. Must visit if you are visiting Xian. Highly recommended to get tickets days before the visit via platform like Klook, because the number of ticket per day is controlled and limited.
