Sea World Whale Watching Cruise

The most amazing experience in my Australia trip. The Whale Watching Cruise Terminal is located right near the entrance of Sea World. Very helpful and enthusiastic crew. All very concerned about every passengers and passionate on sea animals. We are extremely lucky to meet quite a few whales swimming close to our boat. They are friendly and lovely creatures. Had chance to take many nice photos and videos. Strangly recommend for those visiting Gold Coast in winter months

The tour was great! We saw a family of three whales with the cub breaching the water! This was apparently a rare event to experience. the whales went right underneath the boat which was so exciting. The crew, researchers and the captain were excellent hosts. Highly, highly recommended.

Many whales and dolphins were clearly visible, and the crew and captain on the boat were very friendly! (All the photos below were taken with my iPhone, which shows how clearly the whales could be seen! The whale highway is real.)

An absolutely brilliant cruise. We saw some incredible whale activity, including breaches and tail slaps, which was breath-taking to witness in person. The boat was great, the crew was super helpful, and the whole trip was seamless. 10/10 would recommend!

After boarding, staff will offer motion sickness medication for sale (AUD 4 for 2 pieces); you can purchase it if needed. The boat's interior is clean. It was amazing to see a family of whales playing.

The boarding location is next to Sea World, and there's free parking available 🅿️. Since I had children with me, I upgraded to the Captain's VIP Lounge on-site. It included a complimentary fruit platter, drinks, and snacks, as well as an indoor lounge area with dedicated staff to assist you. Many people were experiencing seasickness due to the rough waves, so I took some anti-nausea medication before we departed.

All the crew onboard were really nice and we did see lots of whales and dolphins! Wished the whales would be more active that day (no jumps, they barely surfaced from the water) but otherwise it was a great experience. Will try the other time slots the next time I return!

it is located conveniently next to SeaWorld. can go on this whale watching cruise in the morning before popping over to SeaWorld after that. managed to catch 3 whale sighting on this cruise, but I think it really depends on your luck too.

The boarding location has a convenient parking lot. While waiting to board, you can relax in the waiting area or browse the souvenir shop. I chose the top-level seats this time, and the sun was quite strong on the 9 AM tour, so be sure to wear sunscreen. The boat ride can be quite bumpy; they offer motion sickness medication for purchase, but be sure to take it early to be effective. The captain mentioned that the morning tours have a better chance of spotting whales, and we saw both dolphins and whales this time. When the captain spots whales, they will steer the boat closer to them, allowing us to get a clearer view.
