What to expect
The tour begins at Nagano Station at 09:35, where your guide will greet you and quickly have you on your way out of Nagano and headed toward Jigokudani Monkey Park. Arrive nearby the park, guide will take you along the forest trail, which leads you to the Jigokudani Valley – rather dramatically translating to ‘Hell’s Valley’. Home to the only troop of monkeys in the entire world known to bathe in hot springs, no barriers are separating you from the wild monkeys, making this a truly unique experience

The trip was so much fun! One of the highlights was watching the monkeys soak in the hot springs—they were just chilling there, looking at us lazily, and it was so cute I couldn’t stop taking photos. The food was another big win; whether it was local snacks or full meals, everything tasted amazing—fresh, authentic, and so good I couldn’t get enough. Of course, the cherry blossoms were a must-see, blooming all over the place in stunning pink, like something out of a painting. Walking under those trees felt so special. And the guide? Such a nice person—always smiling, explaining things to us, and super patient with all our questions.
amazing tour guide and driver. Joyce is very knowledgeable, friendly and professional in doing what she need to do. the lunch is amazing. and she also give good recommendations of where are the local good food after we depart from nagano. but price for this tour is on a higher side.
We were very satisfied with the activity. The tour guide was very responsible, and the itinerary was well-planned. Lunch was Japanese cuisine, served in an elegant setting, and it was absolutely delicious.

- Newborn babies typically appear in the park from mid-April onward. We cannot guarantee that babies will be present in the park on the day of your tour
- Blossom-viewing sites are selected upon the best condition on the tour day. Chosen site for an individual tour cannot be confirmed until the morning of that tour
- In case of the cherry blossoms are not bloom at any of the sites on the day of the tour, we will take you to Zenko-ji Temple and ‘sake’ tasting instead. In this case, we will notify you of the change in itinerary a minimum of 2 days in advance
