What to expect
Just south of Darwin lies a truly beautiful destination, a blend of stunning tropical waterfalls and swimming holes. Kick off your two hour drive with a pick up at your hotel in Darwin, followed by heading down Stuart Highway towards Litchfield National Park. At the park, your first stop will be the Magnetic Termite Mounds where you will admire the artistic work of local termites, from arches to tunnels and even chambers!
Afterwards, travel to Florence Falls, a majestic double waterfall. You can make your way down a flight of stairs to take a dip in the pool before heading back through the forest and open woodland. The next waterfall you'll visit is the Tolmer Falls. The base of this waterfall is home to two rare bat colonies: ghost bats and orange horseshoe bats. Now that you're hungry from all the swimming and walking, enjoy a lunch break at Litchfield Cafe before heading to your next waterfall, Wangi Falls. Here, you can take another dip in the natural pool.

Litchfield is so beautiful, eapecially Florence Falls and Wangi Falls. The pickup and dropoffs are right on time, and the coach bus is super comfortable. The tour even provided water which is super helpful considering how hot it is. Our tour guide Steph is very knowledgable about history and even biology, couldn’t even ask questions because she already told us everything I wanted to know before I could ask one! I just wish we could come close in the Magnetic Termite Mounds.
This tour is a great introduction for me when I visited Darwin. I got to see so many cultural landmarks in one and got to swim in Florence Falls also which is an amazing experience. I would recommend this one as the operator is very informative, looks out for our safety, and amazing. You dont need to worry about your one whole day in Darwin, just join this tour.
Litchfield National Park is vast, with so many shades of green! Swimming in Florence Falls was particularly memorable. I swam with several fish about 20 centimeters long. Of course, there were also small, cute fish that the kids loved. We had to walk down quite a few stairs, so my calves were sore the next day, but it was worth it! We were also thrilled to spot a wallaby on the way to the park! At Wangi Falls, we even encountered a monitor lizard!
Nice day trip, you get to swim in nice natural pools. See waterfalls, termite mounds, and amazing outback country. Tip: Bring a water bottle, small towell, sunscreen, hat and mosquito repellent.
I had a great time on this trip! The views were stunning and the driver was very entertaining, the only downside was that the time went really fast! I highly recommend this!

Thanks for the experience! bring your own water bottle. the tour has an igloo cooler, and you can refill ur water bottle. only downside which, is the same as all the other tour out there- u wont have much time to explore everything on your own time or pase..
Great way to see all the waterfalls and termite mounds in Litchfield National Park. Only one waterhole was open to swim so far this season, which was fun to relax. Great views to be had all day long.
Extremely fun, be prepared to enjoy swimming at the waterfalls
Please prepare swimsuits, as there are several places where you can go into the water. Swimming in summer is particularly relaxing, and you can also enjoy the waterfall. The tour guide professionally explained in detail.
