Uminonakamichi Marine World Admission Ticket in Fukuoka

AUG. 13, 2026 ✈️ Let's go to Fukuoka ✖️ Marine World Uminonakamichi Good morning! Today, August 13th, is definitely the crucial turning point of this trip‼️ As early as August 6th, when I saw two typhoons forming, 'White Dolphin' had no impact. Although Typhoon No. 15 'Chan-hom' swept across mainland Japan, it seemed to be heading north, so I initially wasn't concerned. However, the day before departure, I checked the weather, and it looked like the path on August 13th might hit Northern Kyushu. I had already prepared myself for a rainy outing today... But to my surprise! On August 8th, I checked the typhoon path again, and the storm circle had shifted directly north, completely missing Northern Kyushu! Today, we were greeted with a super sunny day! Although the UV rays were so strong I could barely open my eyes, the sun is always better than rain. Long live sunny days! ☀️✨ Our first stop today is Marine World Uminonakamichi, and our luck with the itinerary has been incredible: 🦭 Seal Show: We just made it for the 10:40 AM show, the 'only one' of the day – super lucky! 🐧 Penguin Feeding and Explanation: At 11:50 AM, we saw penguins running wildly and even slipping and falling while chasing food. They were so cute it melted our hearts‼️ 🐬 Dolphin Show: The incredibly powerful dolphin sounds combined with their cool surfing tricks were truly amazing (◐‿◑) However, it was really, really hot today! After much consideration, we decisively decided to skip the vast outdoor Uminonakamichi Park and head straight to Tenjin for some air-conditioned shopping! 🛍️

During our trip to Fukuoka with the kids, we also visited Marine World Uminonakamichi. To be honest, it wasn't the biggest or most luxurious aquarium we've ever been to, and some of the facilities showed signs of age. However, after exploring, we realized that the overall flow of the exhibits was very well-designed, the interior was clean and tidy, and the variety of marine life on display was quite extensive. From the breathtaking ocean view during the outdoor dolphin show to the indoor jellyfish exhibit with its interplay of light and shadow, and the display of giant fish, you could feel the local dedication to managing this place, and the experience exceeded our expectations. Additionally, I'd like to share a fantastic travel tip for independent travelers: I highly recommend taking a boat from the pier at the foot of Fukuoka Tower directly to the Uminonakamichi pier! This is definitely the best way to connect a day trip to Fukuoka Tower and Marine World. Taking the boat with the sea breeze blowing not only saves you the effort of transferring but also makes the day's itinerary very smooth. The unique experience of water transportation, coupled with our child's excited cheers as the dolphins jumped, created very deep parent-child memories for our Fukuoka trip. If you're also planning to bring your kids to Fukuoka, this combined land and sea day trip route is truly worth considering.

Compared to Korea, I'm very satisfied with the price! We took a ferry from Momochi, and I think it created a great memory for my child. There were so many amazing jellyfish that we kept saying "wow" as we looked at them, haha. For the dolphin show, please, whatever you do, don't sit in the front row! I recommend bringing a raincoat... We sat in the very front, thinking, "How much could it splash?" and almost cursed at the dolphins, lol. Our clothes got completely soaked, like we'd been in a water park. My child absolutely loved it though! ❤️

Highly recommend if you are in Fukuoka. you cannot miss this place. take the train about half an hour then you reach heaven for family that you can find aquarium, open zoo and also a park to ride bicycle with worry free. the show of the Dolphins and seals are fabulous. The park is even better with flowers and open playground. It’s over our expectation. We wish we could have more time in this place.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An amazing spot to let kids burn off energy, and fun for both adults and children! This time, I brought my family to Marine World Uminonakamichi in Fukuoka, and it was truly a pleasant surprise! The entire aquarium is very thoughtfully designed with plenty of space, making it comfortable to navigate even with a stroller. The absolute highlight is the dolphin and sea lion show facing the ocean; the seascape in the background is as beautiful as a painting! The kids clapped their hands and were incredibly excited. Additionally, on the first floor, "Monster Island" allows children to hand-feed seals, offering a highly interactive experience that they didn't want to leave. There's also an adorable sea otter feeding show inside, which was truly heartwarming. The restaurant inside even lets you dine while watching dolphins swim, and the meals come in cute penguin shapes! It scores full marks for both educational value and entertainment, definitely a must-visit first stop for a family trip to Fukuoka!

I love aquariums and have visited all the domestic ones, even as far as Jeju Island, but this one was incomparably impressive! The dolphin show and the outdoor penguins were especially cute, and I watched them for a long time! Also, as a huge fan of Nintendo's Animal Crossing, I was deeply moved because it felt like the museum from the game was brought to life here. The dolphin show seems to be at 11 AM, 1:30 PM, and also in the afternoon, and I watched it twice, at 11 AM and 1:30 PM. I thought watching the same show twice might be boring, but each trainer had slightly different individual skills, which surprised me again! I wish I had more time to see the 4 PM show, but unfortunately, I couldn't. Also, the line at the restaurant was too long, so I couldn't eat, but outside food is allowed! If you plan to stay for a while, I recommend bringing a packed lunch or snacks!

Nice aquarium which can be covered in 2.5-3 hours, including the dolphin/seal and penguin shows. Nice experience feeding the seals for 500 yen and watching penguins roaming around on the grass at very close proximity.

It was so good, when we went, there were a few people. Maybe we were lucky to avoid the crowds and had a chill walk around the aquarium. There was a seal performance, it was so cute to see them that close. You can also feed them, if you buy food next to their place. It has become one of our favourite aquarium in Japan.
