Pixel Lab Tokyo: Gameboy Mod Workshop (Original/Advance/SP)

The mod workshop was a really fun time! It gives you a nostalgic feeling while building it and choosing your pieces. Bin the host is really nice and welcoming and patient. You are helped the entire time so don’t worry about messing up! also make sure to choose the correct session as there’s different options

Super fun to do. We had amazing experience time creating the gameboy. Definitely recommend to try this when you come to Japan, specifically this studio. Very kind and helpful people.

Just wrapped up at Pixel Lab Tokyo. Leaving with a cool N64 inspired GBA SP. Bin and Luka gave great instruction, they were super accommodating (and extremely patient) with our group. I'm leaving with a GBA SP and an experience I won't soon forget. Thanks so much Pixel Lab Tokyo! I had a wonderful time making something personal.

It’s okay if you’re a beginner. They will guide you through the whole process step by step. They speak good english as well. The whole place is so clean and neat and well designed. Everyone was so welcoming. 10/10 recommend this place!!!! Definitely worth your time and money. Thank you so much for this experience! It was the highlight of my Tokyo visit! <3

The workshop was an incredible experience with an incredible satff and hospitality. It’s an inviting, homei, and comfortable atmosphere suitable to all skill levels in the gameboy modding community. My session was one on one so it lasted about an hour and 30 minutes, less than it would for a bigger group of up to 6-8 people. While the workshop might seem pricy, I would say it’s very fairly priced for not only the experience you get of modding your own console, but also the hospitality, the fact they have so many options to choose from for cases, buttons, pads, and much more. If you ever get the chance to go, I would highly recommend going to Pixel lab with Bil as your guide, he’s a great teacher and incredibly friendly.

Awesome experience modding a Gameboy Advance. There were so many choices for different color cases, buttons, and screens. The owner was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. 10/10 recommend!!

An amazing place! They teach you everything here, from the smallest component to the finished product. The team is extremely professional, and the atmosphere is really great and fun. I truly enjoyed building my Game Boy with their help—it looks absolutely incredible thanks to them!
