What to expect
In a Kintsugi experience, you can actually experience the traditional Japanese culture of repairing broken or chipped pottery and creating new beauty. A major appeal is that it's not just about fixing something that's broken, but about encountering a unique Japanese aesthetic and way of thinking that values "scratches and chips as unique characteristics of that piece of pottery."
During the experience, you can learn about Kintsugi techniques and history while actually performing the repair process. There is careful support so that even beginners can enjoy it, so even those unfamiliar with art or crafts can participate with peace of mind. Also, since you can take home the pottery you repaired with your own hands, it becomes a special, one-of-a-kind work and a memory of your trip.
The experience of working with pottery in a quiet setting is also a healing time that makes you forget the hustle and bustle of daily life, and it is a valuable opportunity to feel the Japanese spirit of "wabi-sabi" and the culture of cherishing things for a long time.

Great workshop, we really enjoyed it with my mother, and the staff (Luna) was extra nice ! Thank you for everything ✨️
This is such a great experience, learning the traditional kintsugi traditon! You learn about the history and you get to create your own piece to take home. I recommend this a lot
This was a special experience. I learned about Kintsugi, a traditional Kyoto craft technique, and thought it was truly beautiful, but I never imagined I'd get to try it myself. The process was much more enjoyable and beautiful than I expected. A special thanks to the two instructors, Sophia and Jeff, who helped me throughout! They were incredibly kind and actively assisted me. If I visit Kyoto again, I definitely want to do this again!
It is worth every yen! Such an awesome family experience. My child didn’t want to do it when I booked it, but when I said we will be breaking the plate…it was a done deal! Staff is fantastic, Alice was super sweet and even gave us recommendations where to go in Osaka since she’s from there!
The staff were lovely! They were very patient and came over to check thhw progress regularly and gave great advice on how it works. Definitely worth it!
Good fun. I took almost 2 hours but they didn’t rush me. They also do the chopstick making workshop so my kid followed on with that and had a lot of fun.
It was a very enjoyable family moment. The instructors are very friendly and helpful. Thank you, Diva! 🤗 The room is air-conditioned and quite pleasant, just a little noisy if everyone is "working" at the same time. The final result is beautiful for all participants, even those without any experience. The only negative point: the price of ceramics purchased outside the package is a bit exaggerated (3000 to 8000 yen).
I had a great time here! The written address doesn’t seem to match on Google maps but the location on the actual map is correct. Sophia and Jeff were great in helping with the whole experience. Would love to come back again for another of their workshops.
Such a wonderful family experience. The team are super helpful, and we have enjoyed slowing down on a rainy day and creating special memories 😊
