Other Reminders
- Natural ice forms during winter and can usually be seen until early autumn. However, please note that visibility may vary depending on weather conditions and cave temperatures, and ice may not be present year-round.
- Please note that the exit involves climbing stairs with an elevation gain of approximately 21 meters, which may be physically demanding for some guests.
- In addition, during summer, the temperature difference between outside and inside the cave can exceed 20°C. Guests with heart conditions or other health concerns are advised not to participate.
- At the deepest section of the cave, please stay on the designated wooden walkway. Stepping off the path may lead onto slippery ice, which could result in falls or injuries.
- The cave generally has low ceilings, so please watch your head at all times. The lowest point is approximately 91 cm, and there is a risk of hitting your head.
- Narusawa Ice Cave is a vertical cave, and most of the route consists of stairs.
- The steps are made of stacked stones rather than paved surfaces, and can be slippery due to moisture. In early spring, ice may remain on the stairs, making them even more slippery. High heels or unstable footwear are strongly discouraged for safety reasons.
