As we propose a new symbol for Kyoto’s nights, we are committed to a program that can be flexibly chosen, rather than sticking to a single performance. We offer performances with different concepts depending on the time slot. You can choose the best way to spend your time according to the scene. Experience an immersive feeling, enveloped in sound, in an ultra-close-up theater where you can even feel the performers’ breathing. ●Part 1: 7:00 PM Performance “HIBIKI” <An energetic live show where the audience and performers become one> It’s entertainment that draws in everyone who watches. A single strike that cuts through the silence, vibrations that envelop the whole body, and straightforward pleasure. Before you know it, children and adults alike are all smiling. It’s an addictive performance where you feel a sense of unity as if diving into a wave of sound.
●Part 2: 9:00 PM Performance “YUME” <A night performance stage where you can immerse yourself in a fantastical world> Powerful sounds in the silence of the ancient capital. Stillness and motion, light and shadow. Deep rhythms overlap with the drama created by contrast. Japanese instruments and visuals invite you into a fantastical world. Drum Tao was absolutely incredible! A captivating, powerful, and highly entertaining performance from start to finish. The energy, precision, and artistry of the performers were breathtaking, combining traditional Japanese drumming with stunning choreography and humor. Every moment kept us engaged. An unforgettable experience that I would highly recommend!
the most amazing show that you can ever watch in koyto, really if you visiting you have to come and watch this show 10/10 experience I would recommend and definitely come again!!!!!!
A high energy and vivacious performance. Good family event if the weather is not great. The theatre is in the Avanti building next to Kyoto station so it is easy to get to. In the same building there is a floor for Japanese subculture merchandise, a Donki shop with a ton of things to see. So you can spend a late afternoon there, have something to eat and then head to the theatre. The drums are really powerful, so you might want to use your noise cancelling ear buds. There wasn't a dull moment; the sound and light effects were fantastic, and it was highly entertaining. The musicians clearly enjoyed their performance on stage and were very active in engaging the audience. It's definitely worth seeing.

A very interesting and out-of-the-ordinary experience, with highly professional musicians and athletes, meticulous attention to the atmosphere, costumes, set design, music, and its performance... it was a very pleasant experience.
The performance was amazing. We had seen Drum Tao in the past overseas and had a great time, so were very keen to see them in their own home and we were not disappointed. The performance was just great. Would see them again if I could.
This was a wonderful experience. A great, energetic, and interactive performance! It was one of our highlights of our Japan trip. Our 12 year old liked it so much that he wanted to join the longer show later in the evening. I would definitely go and see them again if I had the chance!
The sound and light effects were excellent, and the performers were very passionate. However, it leaned more towards a pop style with strong entertainment value, which differs from traditional taiko drumming performances.
