2026 Sumo Provincial Tour Viewing

The Jungyo Sumo Provincial Tour offers a rare opportunity to experience Japan’s national sport up close outside the Grand Tournaments.

Spend a full day immersed in authentic sumo culture, from morning training sessions where wrestlers prepare in the ring, to official bouts featuring divisions from Makushita up to the elite Makunouchi.

Unique to Jungyo events, visitors can also enjoy special performances such as comic sumo, folk songs, taiko drumming, and traditional demonstrations.
