What to expect
Why not step into the unknown world of Japanese ninjas at "Ninja Sanctuary," nestled in the beautiful scenery of Arashiyama? This experience offers participatory activities where you can enjoy authentic ninja training such as blowgun and shuriken throwing, as well as changing into ninja costumes. After dressing up in ninja attire, you will learn basic ninjutsu using actual ninja tools under the guidance of English-speaking instructors. You can also take photos in a space that recreates the traditional ninja world, making you feel like a real shinobi. You can also choose the "Costume Rental & Town Walking Plan," where you can rent only the costume and freely stroll around the town of Arashiyama. The costume can be returned anytime during business hours on the same day, so you can enjoy sightseeing and photography at your own pace.
Good to know
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the start time.
To ensure all sessions run on schedule, participants who are more than 5 minutes late from the start time will not be able to join their reserved session. If you are unable to make it on time, you can change to another available slot for an additional fee.
This experience is not accessible for wheelchairs or strollers.

This ninja experience was so much fun from the moment we walked in. The hidden rotating door at the entrance was a great surprise and immediately made us feel like we had entered a real ninja hideout. Wearing the ninja costume made me feel like I had stepped into the world of Naruto. Throwing real shuriken, just like I had seen on TV, was especially exciting. It had always been one of the things I wanted to do in Japan, so it felt great to finally check it off my list. I highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a fun and memorable activity.
I had such an immersive experience, and I even got to wear a cosplay costume! The interior was incredibly cool—I posted it on Instagram and received lots of comments from my friends. The shuriken throwing and blowgun experiences were especially addictive; watching them hit the target was so satisfying! The staff were also very kind and explained a lot about ninjas, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable.
