The Mount Qingcheng cultural tourism performance project – the multi-dimensional immersive digital exhibition "The White Snake: A Thought of Qingcheng" – uses technology as its brush and legend as its ink to reconstruct a fairy tale about guardianship and great love on this Taoist sacred land, becoming a must-visit landmark for countless tourists.
Different from the well-known love story of the Broken Bridge in West Lake, "The White Snake: A Thought of Qingcheng" focuses on the thousand-year cultivation of Bai Suzhen and Xiao Qing in Mount Qingcheng, unlocking a new narrative dimension for this classic IP. When the common people face danger, Bai Suzhen resolutely steals the heavenly white fruit to save them, willing to abandon her thousand years of cultivation; Xiao Qing, with the sincerity of "You protect the common people, I protect you," voluntarily sacrifices her cultivation to protect her sister. In the interwoven plot of reality and illusion, small love and great love merge, sisterhood and the spirit of helping the world collide, vividly interpreting the Qingcheng Taoist rhyme of "the highest virtue is not virtue, acting without contention," giving the thousand-year-old legend a deeper spiritual core.
The location of this fantasy journey is hidden in the Qingcheng Immortal Hall, adjacent to the old gate of Mount Qingcheng. The 2000-square-meter space has been meticulously crafted into 6 distinct exhibition realms, from the serene cave where the white and green snakes cultivated to the misty heavenly realm. Every transition is subtly designed. Here, the traditional relationship between audience and performance is completely subverted – you are no longer a bystander, but a participant in the story: touch the stone wall lightly, and "spiritual energy" will rise; follow the plot's guidance, and you can fly over the peaks of Qingcheng with Bai Suzhen, sink to the bottom of Yuecheng Lake, make a wish under the thousand-year-old ginkgo tree, and even personally experience the thrilling battle of the Three Realms.
The magic of technology makes this fairy tale dream even more real. As a technical highlight of the project, the naked-eye 3D visual effects break the boundary between reality and illusion. When the scene of Xiao Jin flying with a sword unfolds, the wind rushes towards you with the plot, as if you are soaring through the clouds; the exquisite combination of 5K holographic projection, intelligent interactive systems, and panoramic wirework allows real actors and virtual characters to share the stage seamlessly. Amidst the flowing light and shadow, myths truly "step out" of ancient texts. What's even more astonishing is that the three natural wonders of Mount Qingcheng – "sunrise, sea of clouds, and sacred lamps" – and the changing seasons are cleverly integrated into the plot. Those rarely seen hidden gems, such as the snowscapes of Qingcheng and the underground grottoes, can all be experienced in the exhibition, adding a different dimension of aesthetic experience to the mountain climbing journey.
