The Buddha statue is surrounded by a lavender-covered hill, and visitors must pass through a dimly lit tunnel to see the Buddha's head, experiencing a perfect blend of spiritual purification and architectural aesthetics through the interplay of light and shadow.

It was built in the early days of Hokkaido's development, with the main gate facing northeast to symbolize protection. The "Kaitaku Shrine" within the grounds enshrines pioneers who contributed to the development of Hokkaido, such as Yoshitake Shima and Rinzo Mamiya, making it a sacred place for praying for peace and success in business.
【Shiroi Koibito Park】
A dreamy wonderland themed around Hokkaido's famous "Shiroi Koibito" chocolate. We had an absolutely amazing day. The sights and places we were taken to were fantastic. We are in our 60s and it was sn easy day. The temples, shirts, statutes and food locations were fantastic. A special mention to Vivi, our guide, who ran the day like clock work and was very pleasant. NOTE: The cost of the tour doesn't include entry to sites but for the price I did not expect that.
I recommend joining this tour since the spots are far from each other, and commuting to these areas can be quite challenging. The time allotted for each stop was sufficient, though I wish we had more time at the Sapporo Beer Museum lol. We saved on commuting costs and time, and most of all, we had one of the best guides, Alex. He was eloquent and very accommodating with our questions.
Vivi was an excellent tour guide. She was very patient in describing each site and even provided additional information about the general area we were in. Wished we had more time at the Hill of the Buddha but overall it was a worthwhile tour.

The trip is very fruitful and time flies! Vivi is the best tourguide speaking 3 languages including Japanese, English and Mandarin. i dont think anyone would regret paying for the tour!
Our tour guide, Mandy, was absolutely wonderful. She is experienced, knowledgeable, and has such a great sense of humor that made the entire day even more enjoyable. I really appreciated how truthful and transparent she was, and most importantly, how much she prioritized everyone’s safety throughout the tour. We visited six different places, and Mandy did an amazing job explaining each location in detail. I loved how she shared historical facts and interesting stories while we were traveling to the next sight — it made the journey just as enjoyable as the destinations themselves. The tour was definitely worth the money, especially since many of the sights are quite far apart. If you don’t have a car or don’t want to spend a lot on taxis, this tour is a perfect option. I highly recommend it, and Mandy truly made the experience unforgettable!
Considering the price, it's definitely great value for money. The downside is that the time spent at each stop is relatively short, especially at the brewery. There's absolutely no time to even buy a beer, as the queues are too long! Our guide, Emma, was very professional and had no trouble communicating in Chinese, English, and Japanese. Since there were many people of different nationalities in our group that day, she repeated explanations in various languages to ensure everyone understood.
I deducted one star for everyone except the guide because of the person holding the flag at the TV Tower meeting point in the morning. If you're going to hold a flag, you should hold it directly in the center so tour participants can see it. It was held awkwardly and casually off to the side, which caused a bit of wandering, but other than that, everything was fine. My English skills are still a bit rough, so I couldn't understand everything, but I think I was happier thanks to the guide who kindly responded at each stop, a foreign friend who was on the tour, and the middle-aged couple from China. We chatted, took photos for each other, and spent the whole day together making memories. I'll definitely join again when it snows in Sapporo!
bus late due to snow storm issue , but the tour guide manage to go almost all itinary. he is good and well information about local food , place and etc. his name is Kevin if not mistaken. The driver was so kind ✨he made us all each person 1 snow 🪿.
Booking a day tour is incredibly convenient for those of us who love independent travel! We can visit remote locations in a single day, and our guide, Emmy, can communicate in three languages. Her explanations of the attractions were very clear, and she even helped us take photos to remember the trip! I highly recommend booking a day tour as a fantastic way to plan your itinerary! 🥰

- Due to climatic factors, the flowering period of some facilities may be delayed or end earlier than expected. No refunds will be given in such cases; your understanding is appreciated.
- From April 2026, if you visit the Great Buddha Hall, you will need to pay the admission fee on-site: 1,000 JPY for adults, free for elementary school students and younger.
- The towel rental service at Jozankei Onsen is a paid service. It is recommended to bring your own towel for convenience.
- Onsen fees are at the guest's own expense. Please prepare enough cash in advance.
- Please note that due to the closure of Shiroi Koibito Park from January 1st to 2nd, 2027, visits to the park will not be arranged during this period, and the time for other attractions will be extended accordingly. Your understanding is appreciated.
- Guests who choose to alight at Mt. Moiwa Ropeway for sightseeing will need to purchase their own tickets. If transportation is needed after sightseeing, please arrange it yourself. The Mt. Moiwa Ropeway may be suspended due to various circumstances; please check the official website for the latest information.
- Please note that Mt. Moiwa can only be selected as an alighting point from October 1st, 2026, to December 30th, 2026. Alighting at Mt. Moiwa cannot be arranged during other periods; your understanding is appreciated.
