One of Ishigaki's important attractions, accessible by bus, and the QR code is easy to use. The cave system is smaller than Okinawa's, and can be explored in about 35 minutes.
I booked this thinking it would rain because of the typhoon, but it didn't rain. Still, the cave was worth seeing. It's surprisingly long and you can see plenty of stalactites.
Carefully maintained, a miracle of nature
The stalactite cave is very unique, with damp floors, so watch your step while walking. There are no special guided tours or signs inside. The entire walk takes about 20 to 30 minutes. It is worth checking out the stalactites, but the interior is dim, and without special lighting, it looks rather ordinary overall. Convenience of booking via Klook: Good. However, those with a chartered car itinerary might consider buying tickets on-site instead (the chartered driver offered a 10% discount at the time, but we had already bought our tickets in advance so we couldn't use it).
Great experience. The details of the stalactite was fascinating and the tour was the perfect length. The cave photo opportunity turned out great.
Unexpectedly good, the route is well-planned and suitable for a family activity. It's a bit slippery inside the cave, so wearing non-slip shoes is recommended.
There are various stalactite formations, and some exhibits are well-lit, making for good photos. The internal pathways are clearly laid out, about 600 meters long, and the cave can be somewhat slippery inside.
The Gyokusendo Cave can be easily explored in about 20 minutes. The well-planned pathways make for a very comfortable walk. Although the park isn't very large, the spectacular stalactites and stalagmites, combined with the accent lighting, create a mysterious and magical atmosphere that is truly breathtaking. If you have some free time in your itinerary, this is definitely a worthwhile place to visit!
