Departing from Tokyo - Professional English/Chinese Mountain Guide Accompanied: 2-Day, 1-Night Mount Fuji Climbing Yoshida Route Bus Tour (8th Station Designated Plan)

I departed on September 8th. The previous day, the road had been closed and the trip canceled due to bad weather. Fortunately, I received an email notification that we could depart as scheduled on September 8th. We left Shinjuku Post Office at 7:30 AM, arrived at a rest stop at 8:40 AM, and reached the 5th Station around 10:00 AM. After getting off the bus, our leader, Xiao Meng, immediately gathered the group to explain the process. I brought my own gear, while other group members went to the shop to pick up their rented equipment. After eating and taking photos, we went to the gate for staff to check our gear and pay the ¥4,000 fee. We set off at 11:45 AM. Although I have hiking experience in Hong Kong, Mount Fuji is not to be underestimated; it's a completely different challenge. It started raining as we began, and the wind and rain intensified as we ascended. Our leader, Xiao Meng, slowed down to wait for me when he saw I was walking slowly. I also want to thank Ms. Wong, a fellow group member, for constantly checking on my progress. When we passed the 7th Station, a foreign group member, Alex, was waiting for me and accompanied me all the way up to Shirakumo-so at the 8th Station (thank you, Alex!). We arrived at 4:30 PM, and Xiao Meng was waiting for us outside Shirakumo-so. After tidying up a bit on the second floor, we went downstairs for curry hamburger rice. After dinner, Xiao Meng announced that due to the weather, he would decide later whether to continue ascending the mountain. Perhaps I was too tired, as I didn't sleep very well. Around 2:00 AM, the path up the mountain was closed due to extremely bad weather. Xiao Meng decided we would leave the mountain hut at 5:00 AM to descend. The mountain will still be there; I'll come back next time. The main group, like everyone else, slowly descended in the strong wind and rain. We waited at the 5th Station for the tour bus to take us to the hot springs, and then returned to Shinjuku Post Office. The trip concluded. Finally, a reminder to friends who want to climb Mount Fuji: train your physical fitness well. Hiking Difficulty: Very challenging in strong wind and heavy rain. On July 12th, after departing from the 5th Station at 12:30 PM, my hiking companion experienced slow pace and chest discomfort. Fearing we wouldn't make it to the 8th Station (Shimo-Edoya) and might delay other group members, we signed a departure agreement after our Chinese guide, Meng, suggested it. We walked until 6:00 PM, finally reaching Byakugunso. We explained our physical condition to the lodge owner, stating we couldn't make it to Shimo-Edoya. The owner immediately arranged two empty beds for us to stay and eat, which felt incredibly warm and welcoming (at that time, the sky even displayed colorful clouds and a rainbow). At 2:00 AM, we joined a group led by a female guide from Wilderness Travelers and successfully reached the summit. After seeing the sunrise and taking photos at the crater, we descended to the 5th Station to meet our original group members. Then, at 11:30 AM, we set off for the hot spring excursion. It was then that we heard from other group members that Meng, our guide, had not led them to the summit. Only the two of us, the 'weakest' members, successfully reached the summit. We felt incredibly lucky, and all the effort was truly worth it!

Very practical, it's easy to find a group quickly when you're in a foreign country, nice. Hiking difficulty: Moderate, my son climbed the mountain faster than I did. Scenery: The weather was great, and the view from the bottom of the mountain was picturesque. Tour guide: Very professional and thoughtful.

Although I couldn't reach the summit with the group due to my physical limitations, the professional guide arranged another hut for me, allowing me to rest adequately and prepare for the descent tomorrow. Climbing Mount Fuji is truly a test of endurance, so thorough physical training is essential.

I was initially a bit skeptical about booking this Mt. Fuji hiking tour, but the good reviews convinced me—and I’m glad I did! Everything went according to the itinerary, and the whole experience was well-organized. The only thing that gave me some anxiety was not receiving any message before the tour, unlike other tour operators I’ve experienced. But you just have to trust the Japanese efficiency! The pickup and instructions were clear, and I was properly accommodated. I’m also grateful to have met my guides, Mr. Owada and Mr. Koji. Both were accommodating and shared interesting information about Mt. Fuji and the surrounding areas. Overall, it was an amazing and memorable experience.

We had amazing time with OWADA さん! Great lead with good pace hike. On the way to Osen , our bus was broken, we had to stay in the resting area wait for 90 minutes. That part was not handled well but tour guide guy ended up arranging the ride for us back to hotel. We appreciated his hard work. Overall highly recommended the trip.

It was an amazing experience. Our tourguide Koji-san always made sure that we are always hydrated and safe. Very good service! Definitely worth the penny.

I was very satisfied with the activity! The entire process was seamless and well-coordinated. Our guide was excellent at pacing, and on the first day, we hiked for five hours to the 8th station, Ganso Muro. On the second day, we departed at 1:00 AM and arrived at the spot to see the sunrise by 3:15 AM. Since everyone still had energy, we all signed up for the crater rim hike and successfully reached Japan's highest peak, Kengamine at 3776m, where we enjoyed the sunrise. We achieved all our goals for this trip. The hot springs after descending also helped us relax, making the next day less sore.

Successfully reached the summit under the guidance of a professional team leader. The weather was excellent, and although it felt like a major physical challenge, I finally achieved a personal life goal.
