Reviews summaryThis was my first time in Hokkaido, and I was traveling alone with limited mobility, so I was a bit anxious. However, I found a tour that met all my expectations and decided to join for the first time! I was initially worried because the guide and driver were foreigners, but they provided explanations and guidance meticulously in both Japanese and their native language, and they were very pleasant! At the zoo, we barely had enough time to look around and didn't have a chance to eat lunch. I thought an extra 30 minutes would have been nice. Also, I wondered if we would have seen the main animals better if we had entered through the main gate. Overall, though, it was enjoyable to see many animals unique to Hokkaido! The Seven Star Tree and the Patchwork Road were also very beautiful! Farm Tomita was crowded with tourists, and I couldn't try the melon souvenirs, so I wished I had more time there. Nevertheless, I'm grateful and had a great time visiting many places I wouldn't have been able to see on my own. Thank you very much!
It was truly wonderful. The tour guide was attentive, provided excellent explanations, and took great care of us. We hit all the main attractions, and the entire experience was very comfortable. The bus was pleasant for sitting and sleeping, and the small group size meant it wasn't too crowded. Everyone was punctual. Sometimes on vacation, you just want to relax and not worry about planning, so this kind of day trip is perfect. You can rest on the bus, occasionally enjoy the scenery, and then get off to start playing and taking photos. It's very relaxing and saves you the fatigue of driving yourself. The penguins were incredibly cute, and the bears were my favorite animals we saw this time. The Shirahige Waterfall was also magnificent and beautiful. The best part of the whole trip was the guide's comfortable explanations and care. And a little bonus was that our hotel was the meeting point for the day trip, so we just had to go downstairs to meet and get on the bus to start our fun. Super happy, highly recommend!
This tour had a very packed itinerary. If we had traveled by ourselves, it would have taken two days to visit all the attractions. After visiting Farm Tomita, we left the group there to head to Asahikawa, catching the last train in the evening to Abashiri, arriving successfully. Many thanks to our guide, Vivi, who helped us call a taxi at Farm Tomita, ensuring we arrived at Kamifurano on time to catch the JR train. We are extremely grateful. Vivi was also very professional, constantly providing information and descriptions of the scenery along the way to the group in Japanese, English, and Chinese, which helped everyone understand everything perfectly. I'm very glad I chose this day tour, as it perfectly complemented my independent trip to Eastern Hokkaido.
Trip runs smoothly & we'll organise by friendly tour leader (Oscar). Fun to see beautiful animals such as polar bear, penguins, chimpanzee etc at the zoo. Great & beautiful view at blue pond & Shirahige Falls, worth to visit. Buffet lunch also yummy, especially cantaloupe, sweet & juicy.
Our guide, Ms. Lisa, was fantastic—very knowledgeable about the places, and incredibly kind, cheerful, and warm. We truly enjoyed the tour. We just wish we had more time at Blue Pond, as it felt a bit short and we wanted to fully appreciate the views and nature. Overall, this is one of the best tours we’ve booked. We can’t wait to come back for the summer Furano lavender field tour!
Our family enjoyed this trip so much. The kids enjoyed the zoo. it’s our firt time to ride a snowmobile. We enjoyed and felt safe with the guided activity. Good thing, Oscar was very professional and led our group very well. It was was an organized, hassle-free trip.
I joined this trip and it turned out to be one of the best experiences of my Hokkaido trip Even as a solo traveler, the trip felt very comfortable and well organized. Asahiyama Zoo was a great first stop, especially seeing the penguins and polar bears The Blue Pond was stunning. Just a short distance away, Shirahige Falls added a beautiful contrast with its powerful white streams flowing into the blue river We wrapped up the day at Ningle Terrace, which felt like a fairytale forest village. A special mention goes to Mandy, our tour guide. She was incredibly friendly, professional, and attentive even for solo travelers. Mandy explained each place clearly, managed the timing perfectly, and kindly helped me take photos. She made sure everyone felt included and comfortable throughout the day As a solo traveler, I truly appreciated how smooth and stress-free the entire trip was. I never felt rushed or out of place, and everything was handled professionally.
I’m really glad I decided to join the Asahiyama Klook tour — it was absolutely worth it. Our tour guide, Emma, was fantastic. She didn’t just bring us around; she carefully explained the pros and cons of each spot and advised us where to go first, which helped us avoid crowds and save a lot of time. That made the whole experience so much smoother and more enjoyable. It was also our lucky day! According to Emma, it hadn’t snowed for the past three weeks, and we were lucky enough to see fresh snow during our visit ❄️ It made the scenery even more magical. Emma is also amazing at taking photos! She helped my boyfriend and me capture so many beautiful shots together, which made the trip even more memorable 🤍 No regrets at all joining this tour — highly recommended if you’re visiting Hokkaido! The tour was well-organised, punctual, and stress-free. Definitely no regrets joining this tour — highly recommended for anyone visiting Hokkaido!
I had a great trip ! Mandy was our tour guide and she was very attentive to each of us. We had such an enjoyable time and managed to take great pictures at each places. I’m really grateful to our guide because she managed our time really well. Due to her care, we were able each point and enjoy the cutest penguin walk without rush and take a stroll at the ningle terrace with satisfaction. I totally recommend this tour as we managed to sightsee three towns in one day, I totally couldn’t have done it by myself. The tour also explained hokkaido history very well and helped us recommend a lot of hokkaido delicacies Even my mom adored Mandy and loved this tripp, its totally worth it. Thank you! ❤️
There was an accident involving other vehicles on the road, and the expressway was unusable due to heavy snow. I was very worried that the visit to the Ningle Terrace would be canceled due to darkness. But fortunately, the tour members were all in good spirits and very cooperative, always returning to the vehicle within the time limit to continue the journey. We were able to keep to the schedule and still visit the Ningle Terrace, and we returned to Sapporo smoothly to complete this day trip. Here, I would especially like to thank our tour guide Lisa 🙏🏻. Lisa is proficient in multiple languages and knows a lot about local Japanese culture and specialties (especially various lavender products and Water Cream made from hot spring water. Thanks for the introduction, the product is worth the price). She also knows the similarities and differences between different towns. Along the way, she kept introducing the special features of the attractions, making the originally boring few hours of driving fulfilling. When participants have questions, Lisa will patiently listen and give appropriate suggestions as much as possible, which benefits us a lot and saves us a lot of unnecessary detours hahaha😆. If I have a long vacation next time, especially in the summer when the Biei snowfields are plentiful, and Lisa is leading the tour again, my girlfriend and I will definitely come again to support her. The only pity is that in the zoo, the capybara was not feeling well that day and was moved to another place for recuperation; the chimpanzees and monkeys were also sent to other places because the weather was too cold, and the area was not open. As for the penguin parade that everyone was most looking forward to, Lisa also mentioned that it is now December 10th, and the daytime temperature is only 2 degrees Celsius, the penguins will feel too hot and will go on strike😂, this is true! Fortunately, we were able to see the penguins repeatedly rushing to the surface and then diving, and the baby penguins were also very energetic, so it was worth the trip.
