Brisbane River Cruise with Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary Admission

The tour started at 9am with the morning river cruise departed at South Bank waterfront pontoon in front of the Brisbane Cultural Center. Our family enjoyed much the 90 minutes cruise ride on the Mirimar II catamaran along the Brisbane River. Beautiful scenery as well as the broadcasting about the history and interesting stories about the river and its shoreline. The tour included the admission ticket to the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. We spent almost 3 hours there visiting the koalas, kangaroos and lots of other animals. We also watched the amazing shows of Birds of Prey, sheep dog and salt water crocodile. The sanctuary visit ended at 1pm and the ferry brought us back to the pontoon at 2:30pm. We highly recommended this Klook tour when visiting Brisbane.

one of the best activities we had in Brisbane! definitely a must to book for this activity, it was winter time when we availed of this last year but the cold breeze along the river didn’t bother us anyway 😀 also, the koalas were so cute at the sanctuary together with the rest of animals!

When going to Lone Pine, you can get on at the departure time, but when returning, be sure to get on the bus 30 minutes before. The sunlight is no joke. Although the ferry takes 70 minutes each way, it is very peaceful and a great opportunity to enjoy the outskirts of the city. In Lone Pine, I definitely recommend touching or hugging a koala, but personally, I much recommend hugging it. I was touching, but when I was taking pictures of the koalas while they were eating, they were covered in grass, so I wasn't sure if I was taking pictures of the koalas or myself. Still, it was a special experience. Before going to the kangaroos, be sure to buy kangaroo food at the kiosk next to the koala tour. Otherwise, I have to come back and buy it again, so I don't want to buy it. All of the kangaroos here are gentle, so get up close and take pictures and feed them. Have courage^^ There are events by the hour, but if you don't follow them, it might not be much fun. I couldn't participate much, so I only saw the koalas and kangaroos, but it was still a good experience. Be sure to bring sunglasses and a hat! It gets very hot after 11:30^^

We had a wonderful experience on the Koala Cruise to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. I’d like to commend Roby and the two crew members for their exceptional service throughout the trip. The commentaries were both informational and interesting, and aside from the trip itself, the views of Brisbane and its suburbs along the river were also exceptional. I also appreciated the lounge area, which was perfect for having snacks while traveling to and from the sanctuary. Highly recommended!

If you want to go to the Koala Sanctuary, I highly recommend this trip because the meeting point is next to the Cultural Center of South Bank Park. It takes 1.5 hours to reach the Sanctuary in a leisurely manner. The Sanctuary is very fun, especially where you can feed kangaroos. You can also see platypuses. After the trip, you can take a leisurely boat ride back to the center of Brisbane.

There will be someone explaining the history/buildings in the boat. Great view along the river. The seats are first come first serve, so if you happened to have no choice but to sit outside like us, good luck as it can be really hot in the afternoon (we went during summer). You can expect to see a lot of geckos roaming around the sanctuary. We watched the Free Flight Raptor Show at 1pm, which is free and it was really intriguing to see a variety of birds.

I participated in the Brisbane River cruise and Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary tour through Klook this time, and I am very satisfied with the overall experience. The river cruise travels along the Brisbane River, the scenery is leisurely and comfortable, and you can enjoy the city and natural scenery from different angles, which is a very relaxing start. After arriving at the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, the itinerary was smooth, with plenty of time to see representative Australian animals such as koalas and kangaroos up close, and you can also take photos freely without rushing. It is very convenient to have transportation and tickets taken care of at once. Highly recommended for first-time visitors to Brisbane.

Was a very smooth ride on the river and learned a lot from the recording about the history of the land. We saw so many koalas and other animals too! Would recommend :)

Cool and wonderful cruise ship with awesome, accommodating and helpful crew. Lone Pine Koala package wiht Brisbane Wheel and lunch adventure cruise was really worth takin and experiencing.

The place to wait for the ferry is easy to find, right next to South Bank Park. There are English-speaking guides along the way, and you can enjoy the scenery of the Brisbane River, which is great. The Lone Pine Koala Conservation Area is worth a visit. In addition to koalas, there are many local Australian animals in the park. In addition, you can also choose to take photos with koalas for an additional fee, or go to the kangaroo area to admire and feed kangaroos up close.
