Sintra's palaces, castles, gardens, and other attractions are spread out. If you have a strong budget, you can use Uber or a tuk-tuk to get around. If your itinerary includes fewer than three attractions and you have plenty of time, you can buy a single bus ticket. Otherwise, there's the 24-hour bus pass. You can take any bus, like the 434 or 435. We went to Sintra on Monday, April 20th. Due to route maintenance, the 435 bus only ran point-to-point from Sintra Station to Monserrate Palace (Gardens) and operated once an hour. Also, because of varying entry times for each attraction, we had to change the order of our itinerary. Having the 24-hour pass allowed us to flexibly adjust our plans.

Very convenient to go around Sintra, Covers all places to visit. Drivers are nice. There were times got delayed because of traffic but otherwise on time with schedule

The bus comes frequently and it's well-connected to tourist attractions, so it was great. I think it would be good to choose according to your own schedule.

Absolutely terrible experience! Its not a hop on hop off . It is just a public transport bus. It only works well first thing in the morning when it takes you to your first stop. After that forget about it ! The stops are not clearly marked. It doesn't stop at some stops that are advertised. It doesn't not provide any information whatsoever and the bus drivers don't properly announce the stops ! It is extremely confusing and even though it is cheap it is just a waste as we struggle to get on it wasting time looking for stops. For example we waited for nearly 30 minutes at the stop where it dropped us off to only discover that it was not an "official " stop but a spot where this particular driver decided to let some people go out without explaining that it is not a stop for this bus. At the end we just took a cab . Do not waste even your 11 Euros. Pay a bit more and get someone more responsible
