Northern Xinjiang Kanas + Ili Optional 7-9 Day Private Tour

I highly recommend this private tour, in 9 days we were able to appreciate the beauty of Xinjiang. I am still processing how unreal the places are. Truly grateful also to the most accomodating and patient driver, Mr.Lee, despite the language barrier we felt very taken care of by him.

We are extremely grateful to have had Master Ma Ming Qiang 马明强 with us throughout our Xinjiang trip. He is friendly, approachable, and incredibly reliable! the kind of driver who immediately makes you feel safe and comfortable. There were days when the road was misty and visibility was low, but he remained calm, attentive, and highly professional, getting us to every destination safely. Without him, the trip would definitely not have been the same. He is also very attentive to our needs, always checking in on us and making sure we were comfortable. Every day felt fun and enjoyable because he would share stories, explain local culture, and even go the extra mile to bring us to beautiful spots we didn’t even expect. We truly appreciate his effort and his warm personality. He is honestly very very very good! highly recommended! Our Xinjiang trip was so much more memorable because of him. 👍👍🙌🙌

It was a great experience! As time spent mostly on the road, when you enjoy the best views of the mountains & grasslands, a private tour gave us lots of private space & flexibility to stop if we want. Every sight was breathtaking. Our driver/guide was friendly & very patient with us. Helped us take photos too.

I have always heard that hotels in Xinjiang are not as good as those in first- and second-tier cities, but after this experience, I feel quite good. It seems that hotels in Urumqi are basically the same as those in Shenzhen, with complete facilities and good breakfast. I especially like their Assam milk tea. Other hotels are also good, but the cabins in Hemu and Kanas are relatively small, but they are also very distinctive and the scenery is particularly beautiful. On the way, we passed by the prairie and had self-funded activities such as riding horses and holding lambs. We had a lot of fun! Sailimu Lake is worth a visit, and the aerial photography effect is very good, very satisfactory! The only drawback is that the journey is too long, and it is a bit difficult to balance sightseeing and dining. In order to enjoy the food, we can only make some sacrifices. The guide is a Hui people. Along the way, in addition to explaining the attractions to us, he also introduced many living habits of Hui people and Uyghur people, so that we can learn more about the local area. When we went to the Hashak tent for dinner, we specially arranged for us to eat on the earthen kang, put on the Hashak national costumes to take pictures, and feel the customs of the Hashak people. It feels like a deep tour. In addition, he also helped me take a lot of photos and aerial photos, and sent the videos to me after editing and adding music. He was very thoughtful!

Xinjiang is very beautiful. I saw many different landforms, including forests, grasslands, deserts, lakes, Yadan landscapes, etc. Snow-capped mountains can be seen even in summer! It satisfied several of my wishes at once! The accommodation is also very unique! My family and I had a lot of fun! Then I would like to thank the driver, Master Xiao Ma, who not only drove steadily, but was also very considerate and took good care of us. Even if we were late at the scenic spot, he waited for us patiently. Even if he had to drive for a long time every day, he remained professional! I will look for him next time I come to Xinjiang!

This trip completely changed my perception of Xinjiang. The hotels in Urumqi are just as good as those in Shenzhen. But I think the completeness of the whole trip was mainly due to Mr. Wang, our driver and guide, who accompanied and led us the whole way. I basically didn't do any planning, I only knew I was going to Xinjiang for tourism, wanted to ride horses, and see the snow-capped mountains, etc. But Mr. Wang introduced and explained Xinjiang to us along the way so we could understand it better. There were many scenic spots that, according to the itinerary, Mr. Wang didn't need to accompany us into, but knowing that we hadn't done any planning, he still accompanied us to the scenic spots to visit and introduce them to us one by one, even after driving 400-500 kilometers every day. When misunderstandings occurred with the hotels or B&Bs, he would also support us immediately and help us negotiate with the hotels. I would like to especially thank Mr. Wang for his company during these 9 days.

Xinjiang has beautiful scenery. Although the sun is strong, every scenic spot makes people feel that the trip is worthwhile, as if they have experienced a journey of spiritual cleansing. It was a great experience to choose a private tour group, and all the itineraries were well organized. Even though the ride is long, the scenery outside the window is worth seeing. The driver, Xiao Ma, was very responsible. Not only did he drive steadily, he was also eager to help us take photos and aerial photos, and even patiently answered our various curiosities about Xinjiang culture. I heard that Hemu is very beautiful in winter. I want to see Hemu in winter again!

Today marks the last day of our trip, and I feel truly satisfied and happy with the experiences that I will never forget for the rest of my life. Thanks to the driver’s enthusiasm and thoughtfulness, our journey as two foreigners became so much easier and more enjoyable. I want to give him a 5-star rating for his friendliness, professionalism, and care — he’s a friend I’ll never forget when I think of Xinjiang. The unforgettable photos I have were all thanks to his help and dedication. Even on the last day, we were still filled with joy and happiness — everything was just perfect. If I could, I would give 10 stars to the driver and to everyone who made this tour possible. I love Xinjiang and all of you. I’ll be back soon — maybe in spring or summer — for a new and even more exciting experience!

My trip to Northern Xinjiang was amazing, 100/100! Traveling during the off-season made it even better. The accommodations were great, especially the B&B at the foot of the forest in Hemu Scenic Area – it was absolutely beautiful! The overall itinerary wasn't too packed, and Li Ge arranged everything perfectly 👍🏻 I'm already missing the beautiful scenery of Northern Xinjiang (˵¯͒〰¯͒˵)

What an incredibly pleasant and surprising trip! The driver was very thoughtful and meticulous, never letting us handle our luggage or wait for even a minute. He provided excellent explanations at each attraction. A perfect service!
