[World Heritage Site] Shirakawa-go Day Trip | Hida Takayama, Fairytale World Shirakawa-go Gassho Village (Observation Deck Access Available) | Departure from Nagoya

The place is nice and beautiful, but it's a rainy day and we couldn't take a lot of photos. By the time we arrive, it's crowded. Maybe I can repeat it next time if I have a change. The bus conductor is nice to us. He waited all of us in front of the gate of takayama bus entrance.

The tour is convenient if you want to go to both site without the hassle of commuting and navigating the complicated journey. Its about 2 hours to go there and you will pay almost the same amount in the fare. so best to avail this toir and enjoy the trip. Both site are beautiful.

Excellent tour and experience although it did rain all day but still our guide did her best to make it interesting. I really like Shirakawa-go which is Unesco Heritage Site. Nice tradional japanese village with traditional houses in the middle of a valley. Although I didn’t had a chance to get to observation deck, I still manged to climbed halfway overlooking the village. Hida Takayama is also an interesting and historic place. I liked the history and art museum. The food there are great but a bit pricey just like in any other touristic places.

We are very grateful for tour guide Zuo Sha's detailed introduction, which gave us an overview of Shirakawa-go and the old streets of Takayama. She thoughtfully marked all the key points of interest on the map with a red pen, saving us a lot of time. On the way back, she also recommended delicious restaurants and great shopping spots near Nagoya Station. She is truly a professional guide. Thank you, Zuo Sha! We hope to encounter such a wonderful guide again in the future.

Today's tour group only had 9 people, so the small bus was very comfortable. I chose this itinerary because I didn't particularly want to go to the Takayama morning market, and I wanted to stagger the timing with the general Takayama old town and Shirakawa-go day trip itineraries. This itinerary goes to the observation deck, Shirakawa-go, and Takayama old town first. I personally think that tour guide Lin Hu did a very good job in terms of time management 👍 and he is also a very nice person ~ Highly recommended!

Good service, punctual, the guide explained in both Chinese and English. It's a pity it rained in Shirakawa-go, but only for a short time, so there was no problem.

The meeting point is at the Ministop located behind the Big Camera at Nagoya Station. The Ministop has restrooms available, which is very convenient. This was my first time visiting Hida Takayama and Shirakawa-go, and the tour guide provided a lot of historical and cultural background information, as well as recommendations for delicious food to try. I gained a lot from the trip.

Awesome trip to visit the Shirakawa!!! Even though some rain… it is still ok!

Joined the Klook tour on last week of November, the bus had broken aircon that is why we felt so hot during the first part of the tour, they changed the bus though. Aside from that, everything was smooth.
