Qingcheng Outer Mountain Day Trip: Hike and Explore Ancient Trails on Shangdao Mountain, Descend and Discover Culinary Delights in a Charming Town - Eatwith
- This is a hidden, less-traveled route on the outer side of Mount Qingcheng, celebrated for both its cultural richness and stunning scenery. It's said that less than 1% of visitors have experienced it.

What to expect
Our hiking route is very secluded, taking us through local tea gardens; past Zhangren Guan, the true birthplace of Taoism; and further into the deep mountains, where we will pass Yuqing Palace, home to a magnificent jade artifact, amidst the sounds of village life. The final touch to this hike is the Yuanming Palace, nestled among centuries-old Phoebe zhennan trees, a secluded and unique haven offering distant views of the bustling Qingcheng Mountain!
As you finish your hike and descend, you'll find that we emerge from the back gate of a residential area, giving you the feeling of a day in the mountains being like a thousand years in the world.
In addition, we will also explore the many local delicacies, which will be our homework before returning!

They picked us up from the hotel. The car was comfortable. We took a walk, the path had inclines and stairs, so it was challenging at times. We did Tai Chi. Lunch was too authentic for our taste. The tea wasn't impressive either.
