Japanese Stitching Sashiko Workshop Experience in Osaka

The class was amazing! our instructor, Haru, did a fabulous job explaining the history and the steps of sashiko. I am pretty clumsy but was able to finish the piece, even with a few hiccups. The building’s atmosphere lends itself to art and creation. There is also a store that sells sashiko premade craft sets along with some beautifully finished pieces. Next to the sashiko store front is a cute cafe, comecoLABO, that I definitely recommend you try either before or after the class. Everyone is very welcoming and friendly and I felt like we bonded in our class as we relaxed and chatted while doing sashiko. Will definitely go again!

All the materials were very high quality- i didn't know that the thread was dyed there as well! The instructor is extremely talented, kind and creative. His pieces are really beautiful and the class was very peaceful. It was cool to be taught by someone so skilled in the art. I ended up being the only one in the class, so it was extra special 😆The studio was located in a quieter area next to the tracks, and the trains would go by every so often which made for nice ambience.

Great way to spend our first afternoon in Osaka. Jun is extremely knowledgeable and skilled. Shared the context and history and helped us create unique keepsakes from our trip. Highly recommend, would love to bring our family and friends that didn't join us today. Looking forward to continuing at home!

Lovely workshop to do in Osaka, it's very therapeutic and a nice way to meet people while you're here, Jun knows his craft and you get to take home your new design. a very nice and creative way to spend a few hours!

Attending the Sashiko embroidery workshop was such an amazing experience! Jun patiently walked me through every step and made sure to address all of my questions with care. Learning this traditional craft from someone so passionate about his art was truly special. I also couldn’t resist buying some of his hand-dyed threads and am eager to start practicing on my own. I wholeheartedly recommend this class to anyone interested!

Had a great time learning how to do sashiko stitching! There are also indigo dyed items. Jun was so friendly and even showed us the indigo dying setup at the back. Amazing place.

Had a wonderful time with this workshop, I think it was my favorite during our trip. The instructors were so friendly and patient as we all worked at our own paces and helped whenever we got stuck or confused. I would love to do the other workshops offered at this location. Thank you so much Jun-san and Nene-san! I enjoyed sashiko so much I want to continue practicing on my own😊

This was a fantastic experience - Jun and the team couldn't have been more welcoming and I had such a great time learning a new craft - would recommend to anyone who wants to try something a little different to the standard workshops all over tik tok

What an amazing and fun experience! The instructor and his team are so fun, patient and friendly! We will definitely be back again the next time we visit Japan. we highly recommend this class. You will have a great time and meet some really great people.
