- Itinerary Highlights:
- In the morning, a private car will pick you up on time from your hotel in Chengdu city center and take you to the Sanxingdui Museum.
- Upon arrival at the Sanxingdui Museum, your private guide will be waiting for you at the museum and provide you with a one-on-one guided tour. First, visit the Comprehensive Hall, where your guide will provide a detailed introduction to the material life of ancient Shu society, and take you to admire precious cultural relics such as pottery, jade, and gold artifacts. Afterwards, head to the Bronze Hall, where your guide will provide an in-depth interpretation of the history and cultural background of the museum’s treasures, such as the bronze masks, bronze sacred tree, and bronze standing figure. (According to scenic area regulations, the guided tour time at Sanxingdui is limited to 3 hours. Due to crowd control measures inside the venues, the actual order of entry and visits will be adjusted flexibly based on on-site conditions. Everyone is excellent, driver, guide and assistants. Although I have to say, if you are looking for a designated person which escort you the entire trip, it might not be ideal for you, especially for elderly. We were greeted by driver, then dropped off before the entrance, inside of a parking lot, we met another person to receive the earpiece for the tour (a bit lost), afterwards, we have to walk ourselves to enter the museum, and another person greeted us because our tour guide was not ready from her last tour (this might be because we didnt start at the normal tour time). After the tour we had to walk ourselves back to the tour bus, which was easy. But for groups who need guidances, might be a little more hectic. Overall, service and quality is excellent, highly recommended.

Although the cost of a private small group tour is a bit higher, the tour guide's explanation is detailed, the driver's service attitude is very good, and the driving is safe. The Sanxingdui Museum is very worth a visit.
