Fantastic

I was worried that I wouldn’t see much pandas moving around since I got to the park after 10 am (everyone recommends to go as soon as the park opens to see active pandas). Even though I arrived later in the morning, I got to see lots of giant pandas moving around and even a red panda up close. The park is very big and I tried my best to see everything so I ended up walking around for 6 hours. I started from the West gate where it was less crowded and exited through the South gate where it was more crowded. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to see Hua Hua (the famous panda) since the line was very long. I was happy with seeing any pandas in general so I was okay with skipping her enclosure. There was also lots of restaurants in the middle of the park so you won’t go hungry even if you stay there for the whole day.
Quick and easy to get in with your passport. The place itself is fantastic. We saw so many pandas. Go early to see them awake and walk further into the park to get away from crowds. Plenty of pandas to see beside the famous one!
This tour was exactly what I travelled to China to experience! Yang had great communication before, during and after the tour. He gathered our group, let us know the best route and if we all agreed then we would need to pay for a shuttle service which you could ride up to 7 times I believe. SO worth the minimal cost to save time and energy as the park is massive. We had the best views and virtually no crowds until the end at the Red Panda and Golden Monkey enclosures but still managed to get close up front access at each location. Brilliant tour, I highly recommend and would happily go again. My advice, take the first tour of the day.
If you're sitting on the fence about visiting, don't. It was so much fun and really informative. I learned that this panda research breeding base has taken the Panda from being endangered to vulnerable. They are actively helping the panda population thrive. If you have the time, queue up and see Hua Hua. She is a little dumpling-shaped panda who is very popular on chinese social media. The food and coffee there is decent too.
Joy gave us a great tour in Chengdu. She enthusiastically showed us the highlights in the panda base and was very patient as we took photos. We arrived early and were rewarded with lots of active pandas (playing, eating, climbing, rolling). By midday they were quite sleepy and slow moving. We then had a tasty local lunch before exploring the famous alleys in the afternoon. Joy took us into many food and tea shops where we had dozens and dozens of free samples. Thank you for all your explanations, smiles and making it such a fantastic day out for us both. Definitely recommend!
experience: the pandas were very cute!!! price: reasonable! worth it ! ease of booking on Klook: the process were very easy we didn’t had any problems! facilities: everything was clean ! service: the best! even though the park was huge!
A good decision to purchase the panda research entry tickers via Klook so u need not go there to queue and buy. Klook will WhatsApp you to check which timing you like to visit, recommended to take the morning 8am slot. Because at 10am, a lot of crowd came and it’s so freaking packed and crowded (especially at the red panda area was difficult to move) the staff will check in via passport to allow your entry. Inside the park there is many food choices available and Macdonalds too. Toilets are available around the park. Please purchase the shuttle bus ride 30 yuan as it will bring you to different drop off point to see the Panda and also send you back to the exit point. What’s my take on the Panda Research Centre visit? - Basically we pay money to come here and watch different Pandas eating breakfast in different positions. HAHAHA. True story.
Guide 盼盼 was incredibly friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. She stayed professional even with the large crowds and freezing weather. The route had many uphill sections, yet she kept talking throughout—entertaining us and sharing so much interesting information about the pandas. We truly appreciated her effort and energy. Highly recommended!
