Tokyo Cute Bento: Character Lunchbox Art Cooking Class

A food assembly experience accessible to everyone. You won't learn to cook (all ingredients are already cooked: rice, vegetables, fried chicken), but you'll create ladybugs using half a cherry tomato, nori seaweed punched with a hole punch, and Emmental cheese eyes shaped with a cookie cutter. It's all very cute and well-organized, with three dedicated instructors (English only). Explanatory diagrams are provided, along with a mini photo studio, and you can enjoy your masterpiece on-site or take it to go. Our only regret: when booking, you're required to select the same animal for all participants, and we would have liked to vary it.

it was amazingggggg. kenji is such an incredible teacher, he knows what to do with food and how to handle it. He showed me how to make such a cute snail, ladybug and panda …. ADORABLEEEEE… I reallyyyyy loved it ! thank you KENJI ❤️❤️❤️

Kenji was amazing, very friendly and helpful, with lots of interesting information about bento boxes and different traditional characters. I got a gift bag at the end with a bento box, fan and food dye for different themes. would defiantly recommend 👍😋

What a great experience making character bento! Kenji made the experience so much more fun with quizzes and guides, will definitely recommend for people to try this when they’re in Tokyo.

Cosy small class size & we had plenty of time. Mami and Kenji were super helpful & gave very clear instructions. The food ingredients were varied, high quality and very tasty. Our only negative feedback was that the bento was too cute to eat!! We got to take our bento box away as it was too early for lunch. Would recommend this activity for anyone who enjoys food presentation.

This was a wonderful experience! My neice and I chose the Panda option, and were able to follow the instructions pretty easily. Now I'm looking for nori/seaweek punches!

This was great fun. My 9 and 12 year old daughters really enjoyed it but the adults did too. Jun did a great job, entertained us with a quiz and taught us about the story behind Japanese Bento culture. We thought about doing a sushi making workshop instead but the kids aren’t really into seafood so this was much more fun. We each made an adorable lunch box of food then took it to the park at Meiju Jingu to have a picnic.

A very fun, professional, and adorable bento-making class! The two staff members were incredibly friendly. They first introduced us to the background and history of kawaii bento, then taught us how to make cute character side dishes. Next came the star of the show—the adorable Shiba Inu! Finally, we learned the rather skillful art of arranging all the dishes into the bento box. My child and I both thought it was an amazing and enjoyable experience. Highly recommended!

We came as a family with our two daughters, and we had such a wonderful time creating our cute bento sets together. It was such a fun and memorable experience for all of us, especially for the kids! Our teacher was incredibly patient, attentive, and detailed in guiding us step by step, making sure everyone could follow along and enjoy the process. Highly recommended for families looking for a fun and creative activity together! 💖

We had such a great time learning how to make the cute Panda bento🥹Kenji was a really wonderful teacher and made it such a fun experience! We would highly recommend the course and will definitely do it again when we return to Japan! The bento was so cute I didn’t want to eat it but of course I did and it was all delicious!
