We had a lot of fun. It was cheap and the instructor was kind and patient. The location was also easy to find. My only gripe is that it was all in Japanese so while we could understand and follow the demonstrations, we couldn’t understand the fascinating history behind what we were doing. Still, we had a good time and would recommend it! กิจกรรม:
we had the best time! Nakata-San was very helpful, funny, knowledgeable and energetic. In addition to a great class we also left with a little bit of Japanese history and a few new words added to the collection.
We had so much fun in this class! The instructor explained things well in both Japanese and English, and she was very entertaining to learn from! The sweet were harder to make than we thought but they were very tasty, especially with a cup of fresh matcha after.
The tea ceremony and nerikiri making experience was truly memorable and beautifully done. The instructor explained each step clearly and shared insights into Japanese culture and traditions. Making nerikiri by hand was fun and relaxing, and the tea ceremony felt calm and authentic. It was a perfect cultural experience and a highlight of our trip in Japan.
Absolutely loved this! The chap was so friendly and kind, he didn’t speak much English, but he tried his absolute best and was asking us for names of the flowers in English so he could learn. Thoroughly enjoyed making the matcha and sweets. I went alone and didn’t find this daunting at all. Thank you!
The tea ceremony and candy making was great! Super fun, simple and relaxing activity to pass a couple hours. We were the only English speakers in the room however our instructor did his best to explain to us and it was very easy to follow along. We had a great time and learnt some more cool things about Japan!
This was an amazing experience! Sensei was really nice, funny and passionate! He may say his English is very little but he explains and shows what to do every well! Thank you so much!
The host speaks English competently and was extremely welcoming and knowledgeable, for the price it was worth it and for our session at 10.30 in the morning it was basically a private session, also located very close to the metro
Good experience for us and our teenage children. All steps were clearly demonstrated and instructor was fun and engaging.
I tried both making Nerikiri and participating in a tea ceremony. For Nerikiri, I was with several other people, but I did the tea ceremony by myself, haha. I recommend Nerikiri if you've always wanted to try making wagashi (Japanese confections), and the tea ceremony if you're looking for a light, experiential activity. I'm the type of person who finds travel more memorable when I actively participate and experience things rather than just sightseeing, so I've been attending various hands-on classes, and I was very satisfied!
