- Tanzhe Temple: We recommend departing in the morning and first heading to Tanzhe Temple in Mentougou District, Beijing. Tanzhe Temple was built in the Western Jin Dynasty and is the oldest temple in Beijing, as the saying goes, "First there was Tanzhe Temple, then there was the city of Beijing." During your visit, you can tour the central axis buildings such as the Hall of Heavenly Kings, the Great Hero Hall, and the Pilu Pavilion to experience the solemnity of Buddhist culture and the charm of ancient architecture. Be sure not to miss the Millennium Emperor Tree in the temple, which is one of the iconic attractions of Tanzhe Temple.
- Lugou Bridge: After lunch, head to Lugou Bridge (Marco Polo Bridge). Lugou Bridge is not only the oldest existing stone arch bridge in Beijing, but also the starting point of the full-scale outbreak of the Sino-Japanese War, with significant historical significance. Strolling on Lugou Bridge, you can admire the various forms of stone lions and feel the vicissitudes and weight of history. At the same time, you may wish to visit the Museum of the War of Chinese People's Resistance Against Japanese Aggression to gain an in-depth understanding of this history.
