Intro: The Guanzhong Folk Arts Museum is located in Wutai Ancient Town, Chang'an District, Xi'an. The museum houses a collection of folk items from past dynasties, such as furniture, lamps, New Year pictures, and brick carvings. What is particularly eye-catching are the relocated and reconstructed ancient Ming and Qing folk houses, opera stages, shops, gate towers and other ancient buildings, as well as thousands of stone carved hitching posts. After entering the archway-style gate, visitors can walk along the path in the courtyard to explore the depths of the museum. Along the way, you will see the Zhao Family Gate Tower built in the late Qing Dynasty and the Xijing Xiong Zhen Gate Tower built in the Ming Dynasty. The gate towers have exquisite brick carving patterns, and they have been restored to their original appearance, maintaining the original flavor of the ancient buildings. In addition, there are more than 40 ancient houses, shops, opera stages and other ancient buildings from the Ming and Qing dynasties on both sides of the road, which have also been relocated from all over Shaanxi and rebuilt here. These buildings each have their own characteristics, and the common point is that they pay special attention to the decoration of the gate tower, wall, and eaves. The overhanging eaves and brackets are very exquisitely crafted. Some courtyards display a lot of folk collections, such as old-fashioned furniture, calligraphy and paintings by celebrities, wood carvings, and stone statues. At the same time, you can also see the daily life and production supplies of residents in the Guanzhong area, such as lamps, plaques, New Year pictures, and measuring tools. Throughout the museum, you can also see thousands of hitching posts arranged densely. These hitching posts are mostly more than one meter high, with animal images carved on them, mostly lions, and some are character patterns. These hitching posts were collected from all over Shaanxi, and most of them are relics of the Qing Dynasty. They come in various forms and reveal a sense of vicissitudes. Inside the museum, you can also enjoy the "Shaanxi Lao腔" opera performances. Watching the performance requires additional payment of 500 yuan per show (5-8 minutes each), regardless of the number of people.
