We offer two package options for you to choose from: Mutianyu (fewer crowds, great views, well-preserved details) or world-famous, most iconic section at Badaling. At the Ming Tombs, visit the Sacred Way (lined with stone statues of mythical creatures and officials), choose Chang Ling (the largest and best-preserved tomb of the Ming emperors), or Ding Ling (the only fully excavated imperial tomb open to the public).

Your guide&driver will pick you up from your Beijing hotel, then head to the Great Wall. The journey takes about 1.5 hours, guide will share insights into the Great Wall’s history—so you can spend more time taking photos&enjoying the scenery once arrive.

Upon arrival, follow your tour guide to take the ski lift or cable car to the Great Wall.

Upon arrival, you can take a cable car to access Badaling Great Wall. For Mutianyu, you have two options to go up: cable car or ski lift. When descending, you can choose either the ski lift again or the toboggan.Tickets are included, and this saves time.

You will have the freedom to explore at your own pace, allowing you to pause and admire the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Your guide will also regale you with tales of the battles that once raged on these historic grounds.

Mutianyu Great Wall: As a well-preserved Ming Dynasty Great Wall section, its open 2.2-kilometer stretch has 22 dense watchtowers. These towers are unique—many connect in groups of three, with intact fire-beacon platforms and embrasures.

Badaling: A quintessential Ming Great Wall segment, it has 19 watchtowers across its 3.7-kilometer open route. Dubbed "Northern Lock and Key," it was a core defense pass for Beijing. Its grand, wide walls and iconic status make it the most visited section

After a delicious lunch, heading to the Ming Tombs. En route, the guide will introduce the history of the Ming Dynasty and its significance. The Ming Tombs are the burial site of 13 emperors of the Ming Dynasty, along with their empresses and concubines.

The construction of the first tomb (Changling Tomb) was started in 1409 by emperor Zhu Di. The subsequent 12 tombs stretch out on the two sides of Chang Tomb and the main avenue. The layout of the Ming Tombs is the result of a combination of patriarchal r

The Ming Tombs have three main spots open to visit, including the Sacred Way. Chang Ling is the largest and best-preserved tomb of Ming emperors, while Ding Ling features a rare accessible underground palace. You can choose either Chang Ling or Ding Ling.

Ding Ling ('Stability Tomb') is the mausoleum of the 13th emperor of the Ming Dynasty, Zhu Yijun, and his two empresses. He ruled his great empire for 48 years, the longest reign in his dynasty.

For those who select Ding Ling Tomb, the only excavated underground palace in the Ming Tombs, the guide will lead you down into the mysterious burial chamber. Ding Ling is the mausoleum of the13th emperor who ruled for 48 years, and his two empresses.

The highlight is the stone Underground Palace. It consists of five chambers. All of these chambers were built of stone without using a single beam or column.

You'll see the emperor's coffin and various burial objects, and the guide will share details about the excavation process and the historical information these artifacts have revealed. Your private guide will be there to answer all your questions.

Chang Ling is the only tomb in the complex that has been unearthed for scientific research and over 3,000 precious relics have been unearthed.

If you opt for Chang Ling Tomb, the guide will take you to the largest and most well - preserved tomb in the complex. You'll enter the grand sacrificial hall, where the guide will explain the rituals and ceremonies.

At Changling, you will see the Front Gate, the Gate of Eminent Favor, the Hall of Eminent Favor, Ling Xing Archway which represents the gateway to heaven and the Soul Tower.

We’ll keep the entire tour duration to approximately 8–9 hours, balancing in-depth visits and a relaxed pace. Once the tour ends, our driver will transfer you back to your downtown Beijing hotel safely.
